The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy tries to clinch but Finkle is having none of it. Finkle looks for a takedown but Murphy sprawls well. Murphy rushes Finkle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Finkle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Murphy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Murphy is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Finkle shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vadim Finkle. That's going to take a lot out of him. Murphy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Finkle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Murphy smiles and moves away.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Finkle keeps the fight on the outside. Finkle keeps the fight on the outside. Finkle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Murphy as he avoids it easily. Murphy wants to clinch up but Finkle keeps it at a distance. Scruffy Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Finkle shoots in for a takedown but Murphy shows good takedown defense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Finkle tries to keep at a distance but Murphy has taken the fight into the clinch. Finkle has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Murphy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A bit of stalling here from Murphy.
Finkle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Murphy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Finkle moves into range and clinches up with Murphy. Murphy gets underhooks to prevent Finkle's takedown attempt.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Finkle is looking to advance position but Murphy won't allow it. Finkle wants to take a breather but Murphy is having none of it. Murphy misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Murphy is trying to get back to full guard. Finkle stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Murphy wants to clinch but Finkle slips to the side and Finkle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Murphy's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vadim Finkle dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Murphy looks to clinch and Finkle counters with a nice double leg into side control. Murphy won't be happy with that. Finkle cracks Murphy with a big right hand but Murphy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Finkle passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Murphy! Finkle lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

It looks like Scruffy Murphy has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Finkle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Murphy is looking to escape. Murphy is still on wobbly legs! Can Finkle finish him? Finkle works his way to his opponent's back.
Murphy seems to have recovered his senses. Finkle really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Murphy. Can Murphy hold on?! Finkle is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brooks looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brooks throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parker. Parker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brooks sprawls well initially but Parker persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Parker working the head and body with strikes. Parker is keen to just control but Brooks is a slippery customer. Parker seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Parker could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Parker trying to control from half guard but Brooks is working away. Parker is looking for a kimura but Brooks is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Parker to get the leverage.

Lee walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Lee feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Lee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Lee landing some decent shots from guard. Lee thows a big elbow that misses. Lee looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson content to stall in guard here. Lee seems keen to control Jackson's posture. Lee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Lee is tightening it up a little... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kinlaw fails with the takedown. Kinlaw closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Kinlaw working Wolf over with strikes. Kinlaw scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Wolf wants to get back to full guard. Wolf wants to control but Kinlaw is keeping busy.
Kinlaw looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Kinlaw works his way into side control. Wolf takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Kinlaw lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Wolf down.

Wolf slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Wolf lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kinlaw! Wolf looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kinlaw really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zulu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Biggun moves in looking to clinch but Zulu pushes him off. Mykal Zulu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zulu scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Zulu scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Biggun on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Zulu stalks Biggun and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Biggun's face. Biggun staggers backwards, shaken. Zulu throws a quick inside leg kick. Biggun throws and low kick but Zulu moves out of range easily. Biggun connects with a body shot. Zulu lands a nice looking body kick. Zulu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

"I'm sorry" says Zulu. Biggun manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Zulu lands with a shot to the body. Zulu buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Biggun throws a push kick but Zulu slaps the foot to one side. Biggun throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Biggun looks to score with a jab to the body but Zulu is just out of range. An inside leg kick lands from Zulu. Zulu throws a leg kick which misses Biggun's front leg but catches the back leg as Biggun tries to avoid it. Biggun is breathing heavily. Zulu connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Zulu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Biggun looks to score with a jab to the body but Zulu is just out of range.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Shum controlling from side mount. Shum working the head and body with strikes. Shum just content to control the position. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Stix has eaten all the pies! Shum tries to move to mount but Stix blocks the move with his legs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kelvin Shum dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Stix gets caught flat footed, as Shum shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Shum throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stix works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shum sitting in guard here, content to control. Shum postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Shum is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Shum wants to pass the guard but Stix is keeping the position. Shum preventing the sweep. Shum sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shum with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Stix wants to stand but Shum is controlling the position. Stix is breathing heavily. Shum lands a couple of elbows. Shum not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shum stands up over Stix, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shum's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Shum slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Shum's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Shum has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Shum is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stix looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Oooh a big shot gets through from Shum. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shum has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Shum throwing strikes but missing. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Shum here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Stix wants to stand up but Shum is controlling him. Stix can't keep his opponent in guard - Shum advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Shum trying to control the pace. Stix wants to get back to his feet. Georges Stix has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shum looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Shum is controlling the pace.
Stix on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Stix misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Shum seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that's the end of the fight! Kelvin Shum showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shum, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phal Um! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Duggan! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Um feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Duggan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Duggan is looking for a triangle but Um pushes his legs off easily.
Duggan looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Um passes into half guard.
Duggan tries to roll over but Um keeps him under control. Duggan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Duggan wants to sweep but Um has passed to side control! Duggan is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duggan being controlled for a moment. Um working the ground and pound. Um knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Duggan on the ground. Um in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Duggan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Um happy to just control the position for now. Duggan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Um controlling from side mount. Um seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Duggan for as long as he can get away with. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duggan tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Um presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Um controlling from mount. Um's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Phal Um just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Left hook, right uppercut from Um.

He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Duggan looking for a sweep. Not yet Duggan, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Um bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Duggan's head backwards. Um paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Um closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Um lands in his opponent's guard. Um avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Um sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Um looking to finish Duggan with some ground and pound. This is bad for Duggan! Um controlling the pace for now. Duggan regains half guard. Um keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Phal Um just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Duggan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Um to score with a decent uppercut. Um lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Duggan shoots and misses and Um counters with a three punch combo that has Duggan backing up. Duggan nods at Um to acknowledge the strikes. A right-left combo lands from Um. Um drives through with a takedown into guard. Um connects with a couple of short punches. Um content to stall in guard here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Phal Um dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Um looks to land a combination. Duggan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Um lands a jab-cross combination. Um displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Um with a jab. Duggan misses with a takedown and Um counters with a left and a right that stings Duggan. Um thuds his right hand into Duggan's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Um throws a combination. Duggan tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Um!
Um fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Duggan sprawls well initially but Um persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Um is taking a breather. Duggan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Duggan is looking to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Um scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Duggan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Duggan wants to get back to full guard. Jim Duggan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Um slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Duggan. Duggan is looking to get to half guard. Um with a couple of short strikes. Duggan throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Duggan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Phal Um showed his dominance in that final round. Well Um has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dali is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Castillo drops Dali with a naaaaasty hook - Dali is in real trouble here! Castillo dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
