The bell rings for round one and we are underway! pierre peirre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knife's waist but Knife gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing pierre peirre off to one side. Knife doesn't succeed with the takedown and pierre peirre counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knife sneaks back into half guard. Knife gets full guard. pierre peirre wants to stand but Knife has a closed guard, so he can't escape. pierre peirre is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Knife has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. pierre peirre is looking to defend but Knife has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for pierre peirre! Knife pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, pierre peirre taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gruber closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Morris to the mat! Morris manages to get full guard. Morris really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gruber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Morris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gruber wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving. Gruber loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gruber stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Morris swivels though and keeps the full guard. Morris working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Gruber has passed into half guard!
Morris looks gassed! Morris tries to roll over but Gruber keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Morris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Morris keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gruber has managed to clinch.
Morris changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gruber fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gruber shoots in for a takedown but Morris shows good takedown defense. Gruber drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Morris shoots in and bounces Gruber off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Gruber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gruber wants to control from the top but Morris keeps moving. Morris has momentary wrist control but Gruber slips an elbow through the middle. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morris can do anything to dispel that myth. Morris is fighting to break Gruber's control of his arms but Gruber is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Gruber wants to sweep here but Morris controlling him for the moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Morris has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gruber clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Gruber just trying to survive but Morris is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Gruber looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Morris throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. Gruber turns into Morris and is now in his guard.

Gruber has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Morris looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Morris is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Negreanu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Davidson keeping moving, preventing Negreanu from controlling successfully. Negreanu looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davidson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Davidson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, chad prevost! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boyce shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts prevost as he jumps to the side. prevost is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Boyce. Boyce misses with a straight left. Boyce misses the shot to the body. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boyce. Boyce looks for a takedown but prevost sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brodie Boyce. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boyce shoots for a takedown but prevost saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boyce stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from prevost. The fight stays on the outside here - Boyce looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boyce darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. prevost gets full guard. prevost is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Boyce wants to stand but prevost is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boyce working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. prevost is trying to control the position from the bottom.
prevost wants to sweep here but Boyce controlling him for the moment. prevost trying to strike off his back.
prevost looks gassed! prevost had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Boyce is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. prevost Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Boyce's back instead. You can see the frustration on Boyce's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Boyce has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. prevost looking for the choke from the back. Boyce trying to control the hands but prevost breaks the grip. prevost looking to break Boyce's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Boyce remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise prevost will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Boyce covers up after that shot from prevost.
prevost keeps control of the position as Boyce tries to break free.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Boyce controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. prevost is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a hook but Tatum blocks it. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Drederick Tatum has been cut. Tatum misses with a double jab.
Tatum lands a really nice looking cross but Jones seems unphased.
Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tatum counters with a head kick.
Jones is rocked! Tatum misses with a head kick.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tatum makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones tries to clinch up. Jones swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones seems to have got his legs back now. Jones misses with a hook. Jones walks forward, straight into a front kick from Tatum. Jones is breathing heavily. Danga de danga de dang - Tatum scores with a four punch combination! Owen Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tatum throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Tatum misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones misses with an uppercut. Tatum saw that one coming. Jones misses with a looping left. Jones takes one on the button. Tatum lands a brutal head kick. Jones looks out on his feet and Tatum throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
