The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer shoots in and bounces Nontchev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammer trying to control but Nontchev is working from the bottom. Hammer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammer postures up.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Nontchev keeping moving, preventing Hammer from controlling successfully. Hammer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hammer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nontchev trying to keep a closed guard but Hammer is proving a slippery customer.
Hammer drops back looking for a leg! Nontchev is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Nontchev manages to kick Hammer off! Hammer jumps back into Nontchev's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Hammer closes the distance and clinches up with Nontchev, looking for a takedown. Hammer pushes Nontchev against the cage but Nontchev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nontchev tries to close the distance and clinch but Hammer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hammer. Nontchev goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Hammer rushes Nontchev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hammer tries to score a body lock takedown but Nontchev shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nontchev swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Hammer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nontchev up against the cage. Nontchev can't find room to land a body shot as Hammer controls the action.

Hammer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hammer tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nontchev holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Nontchev has picked Hammer up - he's going for a ride! Nontchev dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Nontchev works his way into side control. You can see the frustration on Hammer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nontchev working the head and body with strikes. Hammer tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nontchev thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hammer manages to get back to half guard. Hammer looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nontchev tries to pass to full mount but Hammer defends it. The fighters are battling for position here. Hammer manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hammer working for a triangle but Nontchev defends it easily.
Hammer is breathing heavily. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nontchev trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nontchev drops back looking for a leg! Hammer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hammer manages to kick Nontchev off! Nontchev jumps back into Hammer's guard. Nontchev passes into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hammer. Nontchev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hammer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nontchev has Hammer in his guard. Nontchev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nontchev looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nontchev pushes a forearm under Hammer's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hammer is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Wennstrom swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hammer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hammer is posturing up here but Wennstrom has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hammer tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hammer has to tap! Slick submission there by Wennstrom!

Kashkin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. RobertsDouglas looks like he's trying to stand up.

Kashkin trying to control the position from guard on top but RobertsDouglas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kashkin passes RobertsDouglas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kashkin trying to mount his opponent but RobertsDouglas defends it. Kashkin is working for a kimura but RobertsDouglas is defending it quite comfortably.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kashkin tries to pass the half guard into mount. RobertsDouglas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. RobertsDouglas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kashkin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Kashkin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. RobertsDouglas pushes Kashkin off and gets back to his feet. Kashkin wants to clinch and RobertsDouglas counters with a good, hard body kick but Kashkin shrugs it off. RobertsDouglas lands a high kick!

And that's the end of the fight! Chris RobertsDouglas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think RobertsDouglas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mode should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
