The bell rings for round one and we are underway! tha champ tries to close the distance and clinch but Takana swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. tha champ has a takedown stuffed. tha champ is looking to land body kicks. tha champ moves in looking to clinch but Takana pushes him off. A head kick misses from Takana. Takana could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. A head kick misses from tha champ. Takana tries for a takedown but tha champ circles away easily and tha champ counters with a straight right hand. tha champ misses with a series of wild punches.

Takana with a lazy takedown attempt and tha champ counters with a series of strikes that sends Takana to the canvas! tha champ follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
Takana is rocked! tha champ decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Oh Takana is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Takana shoots and misses and tha champ counters with a big slam. Takana looks out but tha champ is landing strikes to his unconscious opponent! Eventually the ref steps in to save Takana from any more punishment. A brutal conclusion to the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voresch closes the distance and clinches up with Kehoe, looking for a takedown. Voresch pushes Kehoe against the cage but Kehoe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Voresch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kehoe manages to avoid it. Kehoe stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Vladimire Voresch has been cut. Kehoe throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Voresch. Kehoe checks the leg kick nicely there.

Kehoe drops Voresch with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Voresch looks back up at him and smiles so Kehoe waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Voresch is rocked! Vladimire Voresch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kehoe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Voresch swats him away and circles back towards the center. Voresch is still on wobbly legs! Can Kehoe finish him? Voresch tries for a takedown but Kehoe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Voresch seems to have recovered his senses. Kehoe is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kehoe lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Voresch is looking to close the distance but Kehoe sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Voresch crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Voresch is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Burger closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Burger lands in his opponent's guard. Santana looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Burger wants to pass the guard but Santana is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Santana ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Santana no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Burger tries to stand but Santana is controlling from the bottom. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santana is on top in guard.
Santana stands and steps away. Burger gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Santana with a poor takedown and Burger counters with a shoot takedown. Santana fights it but they end up in guard. Burger wants to control from the top but Santana keeps moving. Santana working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Burger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Burger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Burger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Burger is breathing heavily. Burger wants to control from the top but Santana keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santana isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Burger stacks Santana on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Burger! Burger tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Santana is not content to let Burger control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santana doesn't succeed with the takedown and Burger counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Santana's guard now. Burger pushes down on Santana's leg and manages to get into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Well, if Burger is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Burger is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Santana defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Santana is keeping busy.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Kakala or perhaps it was just good defense by Hammer which made him look bad. Kakala misses with a takedown attempt - Hammer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Kakala shoots in for a takedown.
