Nutz is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Pier defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Nutz has the hooks in. Pier is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Nutz looking to break Pier's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pier remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Nutz will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nutz is working for a rear naked choke. Pier is not defending it well and Nutz has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Pier refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Pier's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Frost shoots in but Stevens avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Stevens stuffs the takedown.
Frost fails with the takedown.
Jerome Stevens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lennon Frost.
Frost shoots in for a takedown but Stevens shows good takedown defense.
Frost shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stevens as he jumps to the side.
Lennon Frost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Stevens does no damage.
Frost looks for a takedown but Stevens sprawls well.
Frost throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stevens's waist but Stevens gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Frost off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frost takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Stevens throws a front kick aimed at Frost's knee but Frost avoids it well.
Frost takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Stevens bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Frost's head.
Stevens stalks Frost and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Frost's face. Frost staggers backwards, shaken.
Frost swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stevens counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Frost closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Frost lands in his opponent's guard.
