 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Manuel Marquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rua swats away the attempt to clinch by Storm. Rua shoots for a takedown but Storm saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Storm tries to close the distance and clinch but Rua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Storm tries to clinch but Rua moves out of range. Storm with a nice cross. Storm doesn't manage to clinch there - Rua circles away.

 It looks like Milani Rua has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Storm misses with a knee strike.
Storm digs a right hand into Rua's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Rua's gas tank. Storm throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Rua blocks it with crossed arms. Knees in the clinch landing for Storm.

Rua breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Storm stuffs the takedown attempt from Rua. Rua gets slowly back to his feet. Storm tries to close the distance and clinch but Rua swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Storm fails in his attempt to clinch. Rua circles away from the clinch attempt and Rua counters with a nice kick to the body.
Rua bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rua decides to take the fight back to the feet. A head kick by Storm misses and Rua counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Rua counters with a lovely straight right hand! Storm misses with an uppercut
and Rua counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Rua thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Storm tries to buck Rua off but Rua is having none of it. Storm wants to control but Rua postures up. Storm tries to control but Rua manages to take his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Lance Storm will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Milani Rua's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Storm bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rua's guard. Storm not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Storm trying to control but Rua is working from the bottom. Rua is breathing heavily.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Storm slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Storm moves into range and clinches up with Rua. Storm with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Storm has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Milani Rua has got the better of the ground game so far. Storm is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rua tries to stand but Storm is controlling from the bottom. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Rua wants to control from the top but Storm keeps moving. Storm controls Rua momentarily but Rua frees himself. Storm wants to hit a switch here but Rua passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Storm there!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Storm keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Storm wants to escape the position.

Friedmon shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Decent striking displayed by Stryder there. Friedmon tries for a takedown but Stryder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Friedmon ducks under a wild hook from Stryder. Stryder connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Friedmon momentarily.
Friedmon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Friedmon seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Stryder shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Friedmon is backing up but Stryder catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Friedmon covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Stryder Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johns throws a right hand that Poe ducks under and follows up with a left that Poe also avoids with ease. Poe fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Johns keeps the fight on the outside. Johns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johns tries to clinch but Poe moves away and Poe counters with a body kick. Poe throws the left hand but Johns avoids the punch easily. No luck for Johns with that takedown attempt. Poe moves into range and connects with a jab.
 It looks like Tim Johns has been cut. Poe throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Poe fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Poe is looking to clinch.
Johns bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
