Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grant Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Levi Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Steel might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Iron man. Grant Steel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Levi Jones's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grant Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Levi Jones! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Steel only half commits. Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jones cracks Steel with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Steel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jones with a jab. Steel tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Steel stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Steel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones looks to land a combination but Steel avoids it well. Nice cross by Jones. Steel walks into a stiff left hand from Jones. Jones throws a right hand that Steel ducks under and follows up with a left that Steel also avoids with ease. Jones keeps the fight on the outside. Jones lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Steel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Jones looking for a sweep. Not yet Jones, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel stands and steps away. Jones gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Some wild striking there from Steel.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Steel. A punch combination from Jones misses. Steel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steel there as he acknowledges the shot. Jones throws a combination. Steel tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Jones cracks Steel with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Jones falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steel counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Steel closes the distance and clinches. Steel stalls. Steel blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Jones tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Steel is trying to stall.
Steel manages to break the clinch.
Levi Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones's corner calls for a 1-2. Jones obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Jones lands a jab to the nose. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jones misses with a low kick as Steel jumps back. Steel checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jones throws a leg kick and Steel counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Nice shot lands for Jones. A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Steel misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jones throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Steel shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grant Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steel is breathing heavily. Steel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Steel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to improve his position but Steel isn't that keen on the idea. Steel has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones gets back to half guard. Jones makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jones. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Steel looking to pass the guard. Steel has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Steel drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Steel off! Steel jumps back into Jones's guard. Steel wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones looking for a guillotine here but Steel defends easily.
Steel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones working for a triangle but Steel defends it easily.
Steel stands up from Jones's guard - Steel perhaps looking for a knockout. Steel gets in close and instigates a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones working aggressively here.
Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Jones misses with the head strike.
Steel breaks from the clinch.
Steel closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steel lands in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Steel stands up from Jones's guard - Steel perhaps looking for a knockout. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Grant Steel will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jones. Jones missing with a left hand there. Steel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Steel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Donk. Jones catches Steel right on the button with a cross. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Steel. Steel gets slowly back to his feet. Steel dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Steel on the side of the head. Jab from Jones. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones lands a head shot. Jones connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Steel momentarily.
Steel throws a jab when Jones was well out of range. Steel is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Steel moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones scores with a shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A head kick by Jones misses and Steel counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Steel tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Steel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Steel closes the distance and clinches up with Jones, looking for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steel off to one side. Jones throws a lazy head kick and Steel counters with a nice body shot. Steel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Steel shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Steel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice shot by Jones. Steel pushes Jones up against the cage in a clinch. Jones prevents the takedown attempt.
Steel tries to score a body lock takedown but Jones shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Jones swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Steel tries to work over Jones's front leg with a kick but Jones checks it. Horrible takedown by Steel or perhaps it was just good defense by Jones which made him look bad. Steel wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Steel fails to land the takedown. Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Steel on the wrong end of a nice jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Steel. Jones looks to land a combination. Steel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Jones lands a head shot. Steel walks into a left hand. Jones misses with a head kick.

Jones lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Jones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Jones lands with a left to the head. Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Steel has him pressed against the cage. Jones lands with a light punch inside. Jones wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jones throws a punch but it's blocked by Steel. Steel is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy. Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Steel backwards. Steel misses with the head strike.
Jones lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Jones is pressed up against the cage. Steel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jones looks to throw the jab but Steel is out of range. Jones looks to land a body kick but Steel moved away. Steel avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones throws a leg kick but Steel checks it. A punch combination from Jones misses. Jones's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jones duly obliges. Jones misses with a leg kick and Steel counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jones is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jones keeping moving, preventing Steel from controlling successfully. Grant Steel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Steel frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! Steel is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daigle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Desangre wants to get back to full guard. Desangre actively working from the bottom here. Daigle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Desangre defends it well. Desangre is looking to get back to full guard here but Daigle has managed to pass to side control instead. Daigle trying to control but Desangre is having none of it. Daigle lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Desangre hang on? Daigle lands a big elbow. Desangre keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Desangre is squirming around, avoiding Daigle's attempts to control the action. Desangre is trying desperately to improve position. Desangre is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Daigle working Desangre over with strikes here. Daigle will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Daigle lands a heavy elbow. Daigle lands a big shot there that rocks Desangre but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Desangre gets back to half guard. Desangre looks gassed! Daigle is working for a kimura but Desangre is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Desangre moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Daigle with a nice head shot there. Desangre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Desangre is thwarting Daigle's attempts to control the position. Desangre is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Desangre lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Daigle is looking to escape. Desangre is nestled in close to Daigle, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Desangre drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Desangre jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Daigle is working the butterfly guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Desangre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daigle counters with a nice double leg into guard. Desangre wants to sweep but no luck. Desangre avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Desangre is on top in guard.
Desangre pushes down on Daigle's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daigle tries to kick Desangre off but Desangre keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Daigle regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Desangre. Desangre is working Daigle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Desangre prevents Daigle from getting back to his feet. Desangre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Daigle swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Daigle dominated that round. The cut man is working on Maximus Desangre's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Desangre shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daigle makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Daigle throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Daigle scores with a hook to the body. Desangre takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Daigle tries to close the distance and clinch up but Desangre swats him away and circles back towards the center. Both fighters circling a little - Daigle finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Daigle misses with a jab, cross combination.

Daigle is fighting off a takedown attempt but Desangre is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Daigle to the mat. Daigle regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Daigle is looking to stand up but Desangre isn't so interested in that idea. Daigle can't keep his opponent in guard - Desangre advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Desangre uses his free foot to push down on Daigle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Daigle. Daigle is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Josh Daigle will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Maximus Desangre's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice sprawl there from Daigle as Desangre shoots in. Daigle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Daigle shoots in and bounces Desangre off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Desangre had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Daigle is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Desangre Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Daigle's back instead. Daigle holding both Desangre 's hands and preventing any damage. Daigle looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Desangre scores with strikes from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Desangre is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Daigle has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Desangre has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Daigle taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Desangre doesn't care though - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Fontana as Steggman shoots in. Steggman is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Steggman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fontana is trying to get back to half guard. Fontana is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Fontana is trying to control Steggman's posture but Steggman avoids it. Fontana is looking for a sweep. Steggman in side control, throwing shots but Fontana defends. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steggman tries to score with some ground and pound. Fujikage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peterson looks for a takedown but Fujikage sprawls well. Fujikage misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Peterson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Peterson shoots in but Fujikage avoids the takedown attempt easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Peterson closes the distance and clinches up with Fujikage, looking for a takedown. Peterson pushes Fujikage against the cage but Fujikage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fujikage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fujikage goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Fujikage throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Peterson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Peterson tries to clinch up but Fujikage circles away and keeps his distance. Peterson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Fujikage can't escape the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Peterson throws some wild stikes that Fujikage manages to avoid easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Peterson has hold of Fujikage's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Fujikage manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Peterson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fujikage is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fujikage and Peterson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demarcus Jackson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Swanson! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to clinch there but Swanson circles away.

Jackson throws a head kick that misses. Jackson waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Swanson. Swanson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jackson throws a quick inside leg kick. Swanson swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson. Jackson catches Swanson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! A lazy left from Jackson finds it's target.
Swanson is rocked! Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jackson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Swanson stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Jackson follows into mount! Swanson is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him? Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Swanson on the ground. Swanson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Swanson gets back to half guard. Swanson seems to have recovered his senses. Swanson is looking to control Jackson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Swanson avoid being mounted? Jackson prevents Swanson from improving his position. Jackson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Swanson. Swanson taking some punishment here, with Jackson in his half guard. Swanson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Swanson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Jackson wants to stand up but Swanson has a hold of him and won't allow it. Swanson gets back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Swanson controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself. Swanson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Jackson rolls with it to try and escape but Swanson cranks on the arm and Jackson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
