1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pete Ashworth! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ashworth has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ashworth unloads a knee to the mid-section. Smith lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Smith is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ashworth is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Smith to the mat. Smith regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Ashworth preventing the sweep. Ashworth pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ashworth accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Smith is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.
Ashworth has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Ashworth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith advances position into side control! Ashworth struggling a bit here. Smith wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ashworth, who protects the arm well.

Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ashworth manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ashworth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Smith is just riding it out for now. Ashworth eventually gives up the hold. Smith looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ashworth works his foot free and advances to mount. Ashworth looking to finish Smith with some ground and pound. This is bad for Smith! Smith is desperately trying to improve his position but Ashworth has a good base and remains in mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smith slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Smith is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ashworth's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ashworth's back! Smith looking to break Ashworth's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ashworth remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Smith will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Ashworth turns into Smith and is now in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Smith will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ashworth throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease. Smith shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Smith goes for an armbar but Ashworth turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ashworth. Ashworth must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ashworth trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom. Jimmy Smith overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Smith is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ashworth tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Smith!

Sabian is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sabian throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sabian off to one side. Sabian fails in his attempt to clinch. Jackson throws a series of punches but Sabian moves out of range. Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The fight stays on the outside here - Sabian looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jackson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sabian tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jackson smiles and moves away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Jordan Dick has been cut. Lee throws a body punch but Dick moves out of range. Cade Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dick throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Lee swings for the body but Dick moves out of range.

Dick looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lee! Dick landing strikes from the mount and Lee is in trouble! Lee's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lee takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dick postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lee looks a forlorn figure.
Dick working away from the top, dropping strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dick lands a big elbow.
Lee is rocked! Lee tries to buck Dick off but he can't manage it. Oh Lee is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lee is breathing heavily. Lee seems to have got his legs back now. Dick lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Davis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. P looking to sweep here. No luck so far. P will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Davis clinches. P has Davis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Davis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
P takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Clifton P's cut is getting worse. Davis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Davis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by P.
P fails with a takedown attempt. Davis lands the left hand. P works Davis's body with a nice hook. P takes a jab right on the kisser.
Clifton P's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Davis stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clifton P. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis sends P crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Davis is motioning to the referee to let P up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
P is rocked! Davis connects with a stiff jab that staggers P - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Will he get it? Olegario is fending him off so far but Couture persists. Nope, Olegario circles away and we're back to standing. Olegario misses with a takedown and Couture counters with a one-two to the body. Couture shoots in and bounces Olegario off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Olegario has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Couture should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Olegario has tightened it up now! Couture should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Pulson throws a strike but Klown rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pulson is looking for a triangle but Klown pushes his legs off easily.

Klown passes the guard and advances to mount! Klown with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
