The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tsugihara wants to clinch up but The Ghost Rider keeps it at a distance. Tsugihara fails in his attempt to clinch. Tsugihara tries to close the distance and clinch up but The Ghost Rider swats him away and circles back towards the center. An inside leg kick lands from The Ghost Rider. The Ghost Rider connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tsugihara wants to clinch up but The Ghost Rider keeps it at a distance. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zempolateca fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCool, pushing him back against the cage. McCool with an attempt at a knee that misses.
McCool keeps control of Zempolateca as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Zempolateca landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Zempolateca connects with a knee to the head.
McCool is trying to break the clinch but Zempolateca has him pressed against the cage. Zempolateca breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McCool misses with a double jab.
Zempolateca shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McCool as he jumps to the side. McCool tries to clinch but Zempolateca is having none of it. Zempolateca tries for a takedown but McCool sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Zempolateca tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting McCool counter with a right hand. Zempolateca closes the distance but McCool moves to the side and McCool counters into the clinch. Nicely done. A nice glancing elbow lands by Zempolateca. McCool has a couple of punches blocked by Zempolateca.

Zempolateca fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McCool, pushing him back against the cage. Zempolateca lands an elbow that stopped McCool in his tracks for a moment. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zempolateca just misses with a elbow thrown towards McCool's brow. McCool with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Zempolateca tries to clinch but fails miserably and McCool counters with a nice double leg into guard. Zempolateca wants to get back to his feet but McCool is in a dominant position and won't allow it. McCool has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Zempolateca has his feet on McCool's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. McCool wants to clinch. McCool tries a head kick but it misses.

Zempolateca is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. McCool using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Zempolateca has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angle scores a takedown into full mount! Kick tries to hold on but Angle pushes him away. Kick keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Angle gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Nice takedown defense from Kick. No joy for Angle on that attempt. Angle scores a takedown into full mount! Kick is looking to improve his position but Angle isn't that keen on the idea. Kick tries to hold on but Angle postures up. Angle sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kick regains half guard. Kick is looking for a sweep. Angle is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Angle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Angle. Muai Kick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ty Angle. Kick changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Angle looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Kick throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kick working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kick is breathing heavily. Kick staying calm.

Angle working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kick turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Angle off and cradles Kick's limp body as Angle celebrates with his corner.

He's got hold of a leg but Ross swivels and escapes. Carter looks for a takedown but Ross sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phobos Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ross keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Carter fails with the takedown. Ross fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Carter sprawls well initially but Ross persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ross is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ross stalling. Carter is refusing to be controlled, as Ross sits in half guard. Ross sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Carter defending well though. Ross lands a big shot. Ross sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Carter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Carter wants to pass to mount but Ross is defending the position. Carter throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Ross is trying to maintain the position but Carter is very close to passing his half guard. Ross striking from the bottom. Ross is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carter's back! Shane Ross has got the better of the ground game so far. Good control from Ross. Ross is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Carter. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Ross looking to soften up his opponent with punches.

Carter is trying desperately to improve position. Ross content just to control the position here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Bo connects with a nice looking jab.
Bo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wilson tries to avoid it but Bo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wilson to the ground. Wilson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Wilson wants to clinch. Wilson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bo paws at him with a jab and circles away. John Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wilson is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bo wants to work for an arm triangle but Wilson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Oh Wilson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Wilson looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Bo! Submission of the night perhaps?

Watson wants to stand but Stunna is controlling his posture from full guard. Watson postures up.
Stunna seems to have got his legs back now. Stunna is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stunna looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Stunna on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Watson scores with a jab to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Stunna rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watson moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Watson scores with a nice strike. Stunna throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Watson's waist but Watson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stunna off to one side. Watson misses with a low kick.
Watson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stunna moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Watson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Nice takedown defense from Watson. No joy for Stunna on that attempt. Watson tries to bum rush Stunna with a series of wild strikes but Stunna uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Stunna closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Watson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Stunna. Stunna passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Watson! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Watson prevents Stunna from taking his back.
