Kershaw is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lose Yourself. Jason Kershaw told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Kershaw! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lagus throws a solid leg kick but Kershaw takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Lagus. Lagus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kershaw's guard. Lagus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kershaw trying to keep a closed guard but Lagus is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lagus thows a big elbow that misses. Lagus scoring with punches to the head and body. Lagus passes into half guard. Kershaw misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Lagus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lagus sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kershaw defending well though. Kershaw manages to get to full guard.
Kershaw is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kershaw utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kershaw preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lagus avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lagus postures up in Kershaw's guard and throws a big left but Kershaw blocks it. Kershaw looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kershaw preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lagus wants to control from the top but Kershaw keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kershaw wants to clinch up but Lagus keeps it at a distance. Lagus has taken the fight to the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lagus controls Kershaw momentarily but Kershaw frees himself. Kershaw stopping the sweep attempt from Lagus. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kershaw throws a big right hand that misses. Kershaw looks gassed! Lagus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Lagus lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lagus connects with a nice short shot to Kershaw's temple. Lagus working over Kershaw with some ground and pound. Kershaw looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lagus is pressing down on Kershaw's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kershaw is holding on for now. Lagus prevents Kershaw from improving his position. Lagus working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lagus lands a nice short elbow. Lagus working over Kershaw with some ground and pound. Kershaw looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lagus stalling. Lagus throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Kershaw because Lagus loaded up on that one. Kershaw tries to reverse the position but Lagus maintains control. Kershaw slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Kershaw wants to get back to full guard. Kershaw keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Lagus with the ground and pound but Kershaw uses the opportunity to regain guard. Lagus postures up.
Kershaw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kershaw trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruben Lagus dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kershaw drops Lagus with a left right combo! Kershaw follows him down to the ground into side control.
Lagus is rocked! Kershaw tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kershaw has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Oh Lagus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Lagus is looking for a sweep. Kershaw cracks Lagus with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Kershaw immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Lagus is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Kershaw!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samara scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Spar Rer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Samara circles away from the clinch attempt.
Samara works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Samara throws a good cross that connects.
Samara gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Samara dodges an elbow strike from Rer.

Rer comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Samara wants to break the clinch but can't.
Samara has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rer uses from the top position. Samara trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Rer is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Samara has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Rer is looking to defend but Samara has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Rer! Samara pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Rer taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cash. Jericho misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cash has his takedown stuffed and Jericho counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jericho seems to be looking for submissions.
Cash is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Cash actively working from the bottom here. Cash is defending against the submission attempts here by Jericho.
Cash is staying active underneath Jericho, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jericho should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jericho wants to stand but Cash has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Cash has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jericho is working away from the top position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hominick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ukkonen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ukkonen moves out of range of the body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hominick throws a sloppy head kick and Ukkonen moves out of range easily. Hominick tries to clinch but Ukkonen moves out of range. Hominick is looking to clinch but Ukkonen is avoiding it.
Hominick lands with a big left! Ukkonen is wobbled badly! Hominick comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Ukkonen to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Angles feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kirk Angles dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Angles shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bytchup but Bytchup pushes him off and we're back to square one. Angles scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bytchup is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Angles lands a nice short elbow. Bytchup moves into full guard.
Bytchup is looking for a triangle but Angles pushes his legs off easily.
Angles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bytchup swivels though and keeps the full guard. Angles works over Bytchup with some ground and pound from guard. Bytchup throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

That's one minute gone in the round. Angles lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bytchup! The referee warns Bytchup that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Angles throws a strike but Bytchup rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bytchup will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Angles keeping full guard, as Bytchup tries to pass. Angles bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bytchup's guard. Angles drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bytchup dives on top into guard. Angles is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Angles is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Bytchup has managed to free his arm - good work. Angles working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Bytchup's thigh. Bytchup counters though and makes it back to full guard. Bytchup lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Angles closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bytchup gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Bytchup is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Angles's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Angles's back! Bytchup is cranking Angles's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Angles! He's tightened the choke and Angles is tapping out!
