The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Jones working away. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Jones thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Ace fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Van Damme sprawls well initially but Ace persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ace trying to control from half guard but Van Damme is working away. Ace with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ace tries to pass to full mount but Van Damme defends it. Ace sitting and controlling from the half guard. Van Damme is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ace's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ace's back! Van Damme is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Ace. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Arnold Van Damme showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Van Damme tries for a takedown but Ace circles away easily and Ace counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Van Damme's face as Ace controls the position. Van Damme is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Ace has just dragged him back down to the mat. Van Damme manages to get back to half guard. Van Damme is trying to get back to full guard. Ace is taking a breather. Van Damme says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Van Damme is trying to get back to full guard.

Jakoavain moves in looking to clinch but Johnson pushes him off. Jakoavain misses with a looping left. Jakoavain lands a really nice looking cross but Johnson seems unphased.

Komokallio drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guy tries to control but Komokallio manages to take his back. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Aizen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kuukonen manages to get himself to full guard.
