Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Killroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dale Wiggins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dale Wiggins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dale Wiggins! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good shot there by Killroy. Wiggins looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Killroy is looking to stand back up but Wiggins counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Killroy. Killroy tries to escape but Wiggins is in control. Killroy is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wiggins is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Killroy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Killroy tries to get out of the position. Killroy is just holding on here. Wiggins manages to take his back.

Killroy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wiggins on the ground. Killroy is trying to stand back up. Killroy tries to escape the position.

Wiggins is looking for the choke from the back position but Killroy is controlling his hands well. Killroy controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position. Wiggins keeps control of the position as Killroy tries to break free.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Killroy stands up from Wiggins's guard - Killroy perhaps looking for a knockout. Killroy sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Killroy is controlling Wiggins's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Wiggins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Killroy keeps working. Killroy preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Wiggins stops Killroy from getting back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Killroy throws a body punch but Wiggins moves out of range. Wiggins tries to close the distance and clinch up but Killroy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Killroy throws a lazy head kick and Wiggins counters with a good, hard body kick but Killroy shrugs it off. Wiggins throws a sloppy head kick and Killroy moves out of range easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wiggins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Killroy throws a right hand that Wiggins ducks under and follows up with a left that Wiggins also avoids with ease. Wiggins fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Killroy misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wiggins blocks a jab. Killroy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. James Killroy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Some wild striking there from Killroy.

Wiggins shoots in looking for a takedown. Killroy tries to sprawl out of it but Wiggins keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Killroy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. James Killroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dale Wiggins. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wiggins. Killroy shrugs it off though. Wiggins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Killroy throws a lazy head kick and Wiggins counters with a good low kick that Killroy was not able to check. Killroy looks for a takedown but Wiggins sprawls well. Wiggins avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wiggins feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Wiggins closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wiggins is nestled in close to Killroy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Killroy wants to get back to full guard. Killroy is trying to escape back to his feet but Wiggins uses the scramble to pass into side control.

And that's the end of the fight! Dale Wiggins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wiggins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. I think De Jong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dropkick Murphy's - Shipping Up To Boston. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Raimo connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Oku to escape the position.
Oku is covering up but some of the strikes from Raimo are getting through and doing damage.
You can see the frustration on Oku's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
