That was a close round but I would say that Bada Boom will probably get the nod.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masaru throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Manuel on the side of the head.
Masaru misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Manuel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Masaru.
Masaru fails with a takedown attempt.
Masaru throws a series of strikes that have Manuel backpedaling.
Masaru throws a hook to the side of Manuel's head but Manuel sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Manuel looks to land a body kick but Masaru moved away.
Manuel misses with a leg kick.
Manuel has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Manuel there as he acknowledges the shot.

Manuel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Manuel is looking to take a break and control but Masaru is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Akio Masaru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabe Manuel.

and Masaru connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Manuel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Masaru tries to avoid it but Manuel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Masaru to the ground. Masaru escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Masaru uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Manuel.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Masaru crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Manuel - the referee stops the clock and Masaru gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Manuel. Masaru manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Manuel.
Manuel lands a big head kick that sends Masaru to the canvas! Manuel follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
