The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Guts darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cannon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Guts throwing strikes from guard but Cannon blocks nicely.

Cannon is looking for a triangle but Guts pushes his legs off easily.
Guts trying to control but Cannon is working from the bottom.
Guts keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cannon's head.

Guts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Guts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guts is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Cannon throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Cannon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Guts's guard.

Cannon shoots in for a double leg but J sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cannon looks to land a combination but J avoids it well.
Nice sprawl there from J as Cannon shoots in.
Cannon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around J's waist but J gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cannon off to one side.

J steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Cannon's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Cannon just didn't come prepared.
