Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Crimson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marty McMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McMillan has chosen Windir - Todeswalzer as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. King Crimson had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Marty McMillan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marty McMillan! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from McMillan. Crimson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Marty McMillan has been cut. McMillan connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Crimson to the floor! McMillan dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like King Crimson has been cut. Crimson is trying to control but can't.
Oh Crimson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! McMillan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Crimson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Crimson is trying to maintain the position but McMillan is very close to passing his half guard. Crimson seems to have got his legs back now. Crimson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McMillan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. McMillan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Crimson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Crimson trying to control but McMillan postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. McMillan scores with a spinning back kick! McMillan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Crimson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming McMillan to the mat! McMillan manages to get full guard. Crimson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crimson stands up from guard. Let's bang! McMillan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Crimson circles away. Crimson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Crimson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McMillan trying desperately to get to his feet.

McMillan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Crimson if he has to take too many more of those.
McMillan slips under a jab. Crimson throws a leg kick but McMillan sees it coming and moves out of range. McMillan feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Crimson's calf. Crimson takes a kick to the side of the head. No joy there for Crimson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McMillan misses with a takedown attempt and Crimson counters with a nice double leg into side control. McMillan won't be happy with that. Crimson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crimson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. McMillan throws a head kick that misses. McMillan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Crimson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McMillan's guard now. McMillan looking for a sweep. Not yet McMillan, not yet. Crimson stays in close to McMillan's body and controls the position. McMillan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Crimson wants to control from the top but McMillan keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. McMillan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crimson is one step ahead there. Crimson stands up from McMillan's guard - Crimson perhaps looking for a knockout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Good shot there by McMillan. Crimson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McMillan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. McMillan throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
McMillan is looking to regain half guard here but Crimson keeps moving and retains side control. McMillan struggling a bit here. McMillan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crimson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crimson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McMillan will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. King Crimson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McMillan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Crimson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Crimson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing McMillan to regain full guard. Crimson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Marty McMillan seems to be getting the better of the standup. McMillan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. And that's the end of the fight! King Crimson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crimson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ojala attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Hoos fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ojala sprawls well initially but Hoos persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hoos not doing much here.
Ojala is trying to maintain the position but Hoos is very close to passing his half guard. Ojala looking for subs from the bottom but Hoos mounts him! Hoos with a couple of short strikes. Hoos thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Hoos drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ojala dives on top into guard. Hoos manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ojala manages to get himself to full guard.

Cullen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hughes pinned against the cage. Hughes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Cullen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Cullen remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Logan Cullen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hughes is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Cullen gets his way!

Logan Cullen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hughes lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Cullen at a distance.
Cullen jabbing away but nothing is landing. Cullen shoots in and drives through. Hughes sprawls well. Cullen fails with the takedown and Hughes counters with a thumping low kick. Hughes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dayton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Azure swivels and escapes. Azure swings for the body but Dayton moves out of range.
Dayton slips under a jab. Azure takes a swing at Dayton's ribcage but misses. Dayton doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Dayton uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Azure.

Dayton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Azure. Azure stuffs the takedown. Dayton shoots in but no luck this time. Trent Azure has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Dayton. Dayton throws a head kick but Azure moves out of range.
Azure misses with an uppercut. Dayton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Dayton throws a nice looking combination but Azure bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dayton looks gassed! Dayton lands an overhand right. Azure lands a glancing blow to the side of Dayton's head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Topps fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Topps goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Topps looks to land a left hand but Blues moved out of range nicely. Topps looks to throw the jab but Blues is out of range. Topps tries for a takedown but Blues sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Blues shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Topps as he jumps to the side. Topps fails to land with a series of punches.
Topps tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Topps rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Blues moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Topps misses with a takedown and Blues moves into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ian Topps. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blues breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Blues avoids a punch combination nicely.
Blues feints and as Topps raises his hands in defense, Blues changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Topps wants to stand up but Blues is controlling him. Topps wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Blues manages to pass to side control. Topps is breathing heavily.

Topps tries to bum rush Blues with a series of wild strikes but Blues uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Topps throws a sloppy head kick and Blues counters with a shoot takedown. Topps fights it but they end up in guard. Blues passes easily into side control. Nice work. Blues lands an elbow. Blues stands up. Ian Topps seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blues fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Topps, pushing him back against the cage. Blues turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Blues manages to end up in side control. Topps is trying to improve his position. Blues working the ground and pound from side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blues stands up and we're back to a striking position. Blues shoots for a takedown but Topps saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Topps clinches up against the cage. Blues is leaning against Topps and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Topps tries to lock up and control but Blues gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blues controlling the pace for now. Topps slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Blues throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Blues seems to be looking for submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Blues clinches with his opponent.
Blues is working for takedown but Topps is calmly controlling the position for now. Topps wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Blues breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Blues decides to return to a standing position. Topps lands a hook that stumbles Blues back into the cage. Topps follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Blues to the canvas! Topps pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Blues has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Tank misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Probert throws a push kick but The Tank slaps the foot to one side. Probert drops The Tank with a right and a left! Probert comes rushing in but The Tank regains his composure and manages to keep Probert in guard.

It looks like JJ The Tank has been cut. Probert drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Probert jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The Tank is still in real trouble! Can Probert finish him? A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as The Tank holds on and takes a little breather. Probert throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Tank works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Probert trying to stand up but can't free himself from The Tank's guard. The Tank seems to have recovered his senses. The Tank will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Probert trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The Tank is pulling down on Probert's head. It's preventing any offense from Probert, at least for the moment. Probert won't allow The Tank to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The Tank tries to close the distance and clinch up but Probert swats him away and circles back towards the center. The Tank shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Probert as he jumps to the side. Probert fails with the takedown and The Tank counters with a slapping leg kick. Probert closes the distance and clinches up with The Tank, looking for a takedown. Probert pushes The Tank against the cage but The Tank circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Probert stalks The Tank and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into The Tank's face. The Tank staggers backwards, shaken. Probert is breathing heavily. Probert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but The Tank paws at him with a jab and circles away. The Tank tries to clinch but Probert moves out of range. The Tank gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Probert counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Probert. Shane Probert has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ The Tank. Probert drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Probert is trying to stall.
The Tank tries to stall but Probert uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Probert jumps guard but The Tank stands there with Probert around his waist. Probert gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Probert tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Probert will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The Tank clinches. Probert wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but The Tank has him pressed against the cage. The Tank tries to break the clinch but Probert is controlling the position. Probert tries to land knees in the clinch but The Tank avoids the damage to the body. The Tank successfully pulls guard.

Let's hope that The Tank has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The Tank is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Probert is looking to escape.

The Tank stands up and beckons Probert to join him on the feet. Probert moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! The Tank goes down! Can Probert finish him!? Probert passes into half guard. Probert performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Probert is taking a breather. The Tank says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The Tank trying to control from the bottom.
Probert seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Probert stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shane Probert dominated that round. The cut man is working on JJ The Tank's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
