The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Verne stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Warren thows a body shot but no joy. Warren doesn't manage to clinch there - Verne circles away.
Warren fails in his attempt to clinch. Verne stuffs the takedown attempt from Warren. Warren gets slowly back to his feet. Warren has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Warren is rocked! Verne drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Warren right on the button. Warren goes down! Verne follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Verne gets the win via TKO!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Golden lands but Garare takes it in his stride. Golden doesn't manage to clinch there - Garare circles away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Garare is trying to break free. Garare wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Golden gets underhooks to prevent Garare's takedown attempt.
Garare misses with a knee to the head. Garare wants to break the clinch but can't.
Golden fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Garare wants to get back to striking at distance but Golden won't allow it.

A much better position for Golden.
That's one minute gone in the round. Golden has his foot on Garare's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garare works his way back into a safe position though. Garare tries to free his leg and advance position but Golden is retaining full guard. Golden throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garare tries to free his leg and advance position but Golden is retaining full guard. Garare looks gassed! Golden wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Golden escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garare gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Golden looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pohjanala is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Skipper shoots in for a double leg but Pohjanala sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pohjanala misses with a head kick.
Pohjanala throws a nice looking combination but Skipper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Skipper shoots for a takedown but Pohjanala saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Skipper looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pohjanala! Pohjanala is trying to escape the mount.
