1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Leonardo DeAngelo! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones moves into the clinch. DeAngelo takes a knee right on the jaw!
DeAngelo tries to pull guard but Jones won't allow it.
Jones turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jones manages to end up in side control. Jones working the head and body with strikes. Jones stands up. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by DeAngelo which made him look bad. DeAngelo fails to land the takedown. DeAngelo tries a head kick but it misses.
DeAngelo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jones fails with the takedown and DeAngelo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jones prevents DeAngelo from breaking the clinch. Jones manages to break the clinch.
Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch. Jones lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
DeAngelo is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DeAngelo avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones takes the fight into the clinch. Jones scores with a knee to the head.
Jones is breathing heavily. Jones lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Jones looking to throw knees to the head but DeAngelo is blocking nicely.

Jones pushes DeAngelo up against the cage in a clinch. Jones has hold of one of DeAngelo's legs. DeAngelo is fighting the takedown attempt but Jones gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. DeAngelo is trying to control the position from the bottom.

DeAngelo avoiding damage as Jones throws knees to the body.
Jones keeps control of DeAngelo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. DeAngelo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy. DeAngelo lands a body punch. DeAngelo is trying to break the clinch but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Jones gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Jones softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Jones manages to break the clinch.
Jones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones stands up and beckons DeAngelo to his feet. Jones rushes DeAngelo and presses him up against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Jones breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jones tries to clinch up and DeAngelo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimbo Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Jones decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Jones clinches with his opponent.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jimbo Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones keeping full guard, as DeAngelo tries to pass. Jones has his hands on DeAngelo's head, controlling the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in DeAngelo's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones stands up and waves to DeAngelo to follow him.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. DeAngelo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ground and pound from Jones seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. You can see the frustration on DeAngelo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jones lands a few punches from side control. Jones looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jones decides to stand back up. Jones fails with the takedown. DeAngelo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

DeAngelo throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease. Jones closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming DeAngelo to the mat! DeAngelo manages to get full guard. Jones wants to control from the top but DeAngelo keeps moving. DeAngelo scrambles and gets back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hassan misses with a two punch combination.
Laia moves out of range of the strikes. Hassan tries to close the distance and clinch but Laia swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice takedown defense from Laia. No joy for Hassan on that attempt. Laia throws a poor cross that misses
and Hassan counters with a low kick, right behind Laia 's knee. Laia misses with a body shot.
Laia tries to score with a low kick but Hassan moves his leg out of the way. Hassan throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Laia misses with a right hand and Hassan counters with a one-two to the body. Hassan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Hassan throws a hook but Laia avoids it easily. Laia throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Hassan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Laia throws a head kick that misses. Laia throws a combination that misses and Laia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Laia connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hassan momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laia lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hassan backs up against the cage.
Hassan is rocked! Laia gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hassan is still on wobbly legs! Can Laia finish him? Laia breaks from the clinch.

and Hassan counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Laia's guard now. Laia managing to control the position. Laia looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hassan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Laia has his foot on Hassan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hassan works his way back into a safe position though. Hassan seems to have recovered his senses. Laia working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hassan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hassan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hassan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Laia has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Laia is breathing heavily. Hassan looking very determined here, making life difficult for Laia.

Laia bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hassan's guard. Hassan trying to keep a closed guard but Laia is proving a slippery customer.

Laia throws a leg kick and Hassan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Laia stuffs the takedown attempt from Hassan. Hassan gets slowly back to his feet. Bu Laia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohammad Abdisheik Hassan. Laia throws a right and a left that Hassan avoids nicely. Laia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Hassan counter with a right hand. Hassan pushes Laia up against the cage in a clinch. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Laia misses with a kick to the body and Hassan connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Laia lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hassan at a distance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bryant shoots in but no luck this time. Excellent takedown into side control there by Homes. Bryant is trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bryant is working hard here to advance position. Kent tries to bum rush Fletcher with a series of wild strikes but Fletcher uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A combination from Kent does no damage. Fletcher keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kent. Fletcher slips under a jab. Fletcher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Kent is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Fletcher closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kent circles away. Kent throws a hook but Fletcher blocks it. Fletcher uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kent. Fletcher steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kent. Fletcher slips under a jab from Kent. A big left from Kent misses. Kent keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kent throws a hook to the side of Fletcher's head but Fletcher sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kent tries to get out of the position. Fletcher landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Kent takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Kent could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Fletcher grinds an elbow into Kent's temple. Fletcher lands an elbow. Kent is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fletcher has just dragged him back down to the mat. Fletcher lands some shots froms side control. Fletcher cracks Kent with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kent takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Fletcher lands a few punches from side control. Fletcher working the head and body with strikes. Kent is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kent tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Kent seems to have got his legs back now. Fletcher fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Fletcher around the waist but Fletcher pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Fletcher is the winner by TKO! Fletcher jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Peralta has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mezias shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Peralta's guard. Mezias would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Peralta is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mezias is controlling him. Peralta wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
