The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plugious darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Plugious thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing McKenzie to regain full guard. Plugious preventing the sweep. McKenzie looking to control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Plugious wants to control from the top but McKenzie keeps moving. Plugious won't allow McKenzie to sweep him here. Plugious forces his way into half guard. McKenzie moves into full guard.

Plugious closes this distance looking for a takedown but McKenzie circles away. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Plugious is breathing heavily. Plugious feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Plugious shoots in but no luck this time. McKenzie takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Plugious cracks McKenzie with a big right hand but McKenzie just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

McKenzie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Plugious wants to free his trapped foot but McKenzie is holding on for dear life with his legs. McKenzie is staying active underneath Plugious, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Plugious is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McKenzie is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. McKenzie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Plugious's best efforts. Plugious is thwarting McKenzie's attempts to control the position. Plugious is working McKenzie over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. McKenzie might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Plugious kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Plugious tries to get out of the position. McKenzie trying to control but Plugious is working from the bottom. That's six minutes gone in the round. Plugious is looking for a sweep. McKenzie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McKenzie tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Plugious. McKenzie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Plugious keeps working.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McKenzie lands a two punch combo.
Plugious is rocked! McKenzie goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Oh Plugious is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Plugious avoids a punch combination nicely.
Plugious has his takedown stuffed and McKenzie counters with a takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McKenzie in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Plugious is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Rasputin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as timorian throws out the jab. Rasputin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. timorian looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Misawa throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Marcos makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Marcos thows a left - swing and a miss!

Misawa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Marcos makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Misawa has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Marcos. Misawa misses with a shot to the body and Marcos counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Misawa misses with a left hand and Marcos counters with a good, hard body kick but Misawa shrugs it off. Marcos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Misawa fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marcos manages to avoid it. Misawa avoids the head kick by Marcos.

Misawa tries to move into range but Marcos moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Marcos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's going to take a lot out of Hisoka Misawa. Marcos lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Misawa is looking to land body kicks. Misawa tries for a takedown but Marcos circles away easily and Marcos counters with a stiff right hand. Misawa scores a takedown into full mount! Misawa is working for a guillotine from mount but Marcos frees his head quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Misawa has hold of Marcos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Marcos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Misawa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Marcos counters though and makes it back to full guard. Misawa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Marcos is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Misawa, into his guard. Misawa tries to strike from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Misawa is on top in guard.
Marcos can't keep his opponent in guard - Misawa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Misawa seems to be looking for submissions.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Marcos has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Misawa. Oh but Marcos has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Misawa goes limp - he's gone! Marcos jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wisnooski slips under a jab. Matt Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hawk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wisnooski moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hawk lands a head shot. Wisnooski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hawk.
Hawk throws a push kick but Wisnooski slaps the foot to one side. Hawk throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sakurai throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Suzuki on the side of the head. Suzuki ducks under a wild hook from Sakurai. Suzuki with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sakurai to score with a decent uppercut. Sakurai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Suzuki as he avoids it easily. Suzuki avoids the body shot from Sakurai.
