1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Andersson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Kelly! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Reed Andrews and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Andersson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Andersson shoots in for a double leg but Kelly sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kelly throws a series of strikes that have Andersson backpedaling.
Kelly cracks Andersson with a right hand to the side of the head. Kelly lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Andersson backs up against the cage.
Andersson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kelly as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Andersson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Andersson shoots for a takedown but Kelly saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from Kelly. No joy for Andersson on that attempt. Kelly rushes Andersson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kelly gets underhooks to prevent Andersson's takedown attempt.
Kelly tries to break the clinch but Andersson is controlling the position. Andersson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Andersson needs to keep his hands up - Kelly had a free shot at his head there. Kelly stalks Andersson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Andersson's face. Andersson staggers backwards, shaken. Kelly lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kelly. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Kelly scores with a nice strike. A decent looking cross lands there for Kelly. Kelly lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Andersson is rocked! Kelly is working the combinations to good effect here. Danga de danga de dang - Kelly scores with a four punch combination! Oh Andersson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kelly looks to land a combination. Andersson sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Kelly throws an overhand right that drops Andersson like a sack of potatoes! Kelly dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lauzon shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Everett as he jumps to the side. Lauzon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Everett tries to avoid it but Lauzon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Everett to the ground. Everett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dan Lauzon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Everett has his takedown stuffed and Lauzon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Everett wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lauzon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lauzon working some strikes from top position. Lauzon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Lauzon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Everett looking for a guillotine here but Lauzon defends easily.
Everett looks gassed! Lauzon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lauzon has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lauzon postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lauzon tries to free his leg and advance position but Everett is retaining full guard. Lauzon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lauzon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Everett works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McVie fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McVie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oliver tries to avoid it but McVie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oliver to the ground. Oliver escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McVie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Oliver to the mat! Oliver manages to get full guard. McVie wanted to stand there but Oliver had control of the position. Oliver manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Oliver fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
McVie is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oliver has control of McVie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and McVie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oliver lands a big elbow. Oliver has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McVie's face.

McVie has his foot on Oliver's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oliver works his way back into a safe position though. McVie tries to land a sweep but no joy. McVie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oliver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. McVie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McVie is on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Fitch Oliver comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Oliver has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Menace shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lao but Lao pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lao lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Menace takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Menace tries to clinch but Lao is having none of it. Lao chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nice sprawl there from Lao as Menace shoots in. Menace takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Lao scores with a spinning back kick! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Menace fails with a takedown attempt. Menace is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lao is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! East slips a jab from McFatty. East looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McFatty trying to control but East postures up.
East lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. East is nestled in close to McFatty, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. East missing with the ground and pound from half guard. East is stalling here. McFatty is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! East seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McFatty has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. East is trying to get back to half guard. McFatty wants to control but East is keeping him busy. East is looking for a sweep. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! McFatty lands some shots froms side control. East throwing hammer fists to the chest of McFatty. What's that going to do exactly? A nice elbow there by McFatty. McFatty is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But East has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from East! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. East keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McFatty's head. McFatty is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

East gets back to half guard. McFatty slips a nice elbow through East's hands, connecting with East's forehead. East tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. East wants to get back to full guard. McFatty wants to lay and pray for a moment but East keeps working. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. McFatty connects with a nice short shot to East's temple. East is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McFatty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McFatty's back! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McFatty tries to escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. East is not going to allow McFatty to sit and survive in this position. East lands an elbow to the side of the head. McFatty can't escape the position.
