Kane comes to the cage accompanied by Hurt. Huntington has chosen Verdi - Triumphal March from Aida as his entrance music. Kennedy Kane has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoulder throws a sloppy head kick and Jordan moves out of range easily.
Jordan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jordan shoots in looking for a takedown. Shoulder tries to sprawl out of it but Jordan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shoulder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jordan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chipped Shoulder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Jordan.
Jordan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jordan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jordan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jordan wants to free his trapped foot but Shoulder is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Jordan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shoulder can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Jordan tries for a takedown but Shoulder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jordan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Shoulder avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Shoulder counters with a single leg into guard. Jordan didn't expect that.

Jordan has his foot on Shoulder's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Shoulder works his way back into a safe position though.

Shoulder avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Shoulder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jordan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jordan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jordan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shoulder stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Jordan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rory Jordan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shoulder moves in looking to clinch but Jordan pushes him off.

Shoulder changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jordan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jordan is pushing Shoulder's head away, looking to escape. Shoulder manages to hold on to the position though.
Jordan is looking to reverse the position.
Jordan gets back to half guard.
Shoulder works his way into side control.

Shoulder is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jordan has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Jordan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Chipped Shoulder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Shoulder wants to sweep here but Jordan controlling him for the moment.

Shoulder escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jordan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jordan wants to get up but he can't break Shoulder's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
