Horrible takedown by Sifer or perhaps it was just good defense by Bait which made him look bad.
Sifer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bait looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bait lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Sifer can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Bait and Sifer drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Bait.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steyer stuffs the takedown attempt from Pencil. Pencil gets slowly back to his feet.
Pencil has a takedown stuffed.
Pencil misses with a takedown attempt - Steyer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wilhelm Steyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of BJ Pencil.

Steyer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Steyer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pencil doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Steyer.

Steyer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steyer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Steyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pencil swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Steyer works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Steyer is looking to advance position but Pencil won't allow it.
Steyer trying to control the action but Pencil is working from the bottom.
Pencil is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Steyer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Pencil looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Pencil is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Steyer gets his way!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Pencil turns into Steyer and is now in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pencil tries to stand but Steyer is controlling from the bottom.
Steyer controls Pencil momentarily but Pencil frees himself.
Steyer is really struggling to control Pencil but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Steyer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pencil works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Steyer is trying to maintain the position but Pencil is very close to passing his half guard.

Pencil seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Steyer is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Svenstroem takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Amarillo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Amarillo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Svenstroem swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Amarillo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Svenstroem wants to clinch up but Amarillo keeps it at a distance.
Svenstroem darts in trying to clinch
and Amarillo counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Amarillo lands a nice looking body kick.
Amarillo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Amarillo throws a head kick but Svenstroem moves out of range.
Svenstroem tries to clinch but Amarillo moves out of range.
Amarillo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Svenstroem instigates a clinch.
Svenstroem wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Amarillo has him pressed against the cage.
Amarillo trying to stall but Svenstroem improves his position.
Amarillo wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Amarillo tries a knee to the head but Svenstroem blocks it.
Amarillo is trying to stall.

Amarillo misses with a knee strike.

Svenstroem ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Svenstroem no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Svenstroem is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Svenstroem has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Amarillo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Svenstroem has tightened it up now! Amarillo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
