Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yoshihiro Nakayama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Dover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshihiro Nakayama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Dover! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dover misses with a takedown attempt - Nakayama sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dover wants to clinch. Dover shoots in for a double leg but Nakayama sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Nakayama shoots and misses and Dover counters with a body kick that stops Nakayama in his tracks momentarily. Nakayama shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dover as he avoids it easily. Dover tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nakayama paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dover pushes Nakayama up against the cage in a clinch. Nakayama is looking to break free of the clinch but Dover has double underhooks. Dover is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Dover jumps into guard, dragging Nakayama to the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dover seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Dover pushes Nakayama off and scrambles back to his feet.

Dover tries for a takedown but Nakayama circles away easily and Nakayama counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Yoshihiro Nakayama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Dover. Nakayama wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dover keeps working. Dover is trying to stand back up but Nakayama is controlling him

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nakayama is looking to clinch but Dover is avoiding it.
Dover tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nakayama counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nakayama. Nakayama can't get the takedown.
Dover manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Nakayama preventing the sweep. Dover has his foot on Nakayama's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nakayama works his way back into a safe position though. Dover looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dover is pulling down on Nakayama's head to control his posture. Dover is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dover is looking to stand up but Nakayama isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nakayama trying to control the position from guard on top but Dover is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dover is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Dover dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nakayama moves in looking to clinch but Dover pushes him off. Dover circles away from the clinch attempt and Dover counters with a takedown into side control. Nakayama struggling a bit here. Nakayama is not content to let Dover control the position. A lull in the action here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakayama takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Dover scoring with punches from side control. Dover controlling the position from side mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Despite being in the dominant position, Ben Dover just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dover fails with the takedown and Nakayama counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nakayama. Dover had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nakayama is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dover Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nakayama's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dover misses with an elbow to the head. Dover lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dover.
Good control from Dover. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nakayama is really stuck here.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Dover. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

Ben Dover has got the better of the ground game so far. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Dover lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Dover.

Ben Dover showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Nakayama stuffs the takedown attempt from Dover. Dover gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by Nakayama or perhaps it was just good defense by Dover which made him look bad. Nakayama keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Dover tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dover wants to control but Nakayama is having none of it. Yoshihiro Nakayama has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nakayama looking to control but Dover is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Ben Dover comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dover has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sheem scores with a kick to the midsection. Sheem tries a head kick but it misses.
Ricardo with a hook. Sheem fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sheem looks for a takedown but Ricardo sprawls well. Sheem misses with a head kick.
Sheem misses with a hook. Ricardo ducked under it nicely. John Sheem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sheem pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sheem throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ricardo. Horrible takedown by Sheem or perhaps it was just good defense by Ricardo which made him look bad. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Ricardo landing shots from mount. Ricardo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sheem can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ricardo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sheem is trying desperately to improve position. Sheem regains half guard. Ricardo with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Ricardo drops an elbow to the side of Sheem's head. Sheem makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sheem. Ricardo wants to control from the top but Sheem keeps moving.

Sheem thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Ricardo landing some decent shots from guard. Sheem is striking but Ricardo is not phased and passes to half guard. Ricardo scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Sheem is trying to stand up here but Ricardo is controlling him well. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. You can see the frustration on Sheem's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sheem wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Sheem is trying to improve his position. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mounds cracks Smith with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mounds has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smith to stand back up! Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mounds as he jumps to the side. Mounds lands a slapping body shot.
Smith looks gassed! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mounds misses with the combination.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mounds's waist but Mounds gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side. Smith closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mounds circles away. Ray Mounds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Satan Smith. A chopping leg kick lands by Mounds. Mounds tries to score with a low kick but Smith moves his leg out of the way. Mounds does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Mounds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mounds throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smith. Oooh a lovely combination from Mounds sends Smith down but not out. Mounds dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Satan Smith has been cut. Mounds slows the pace down. Smith is still in real trouble! Can Mounds finish him? Mounds has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Smith takes one on the button. Mounds throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smith avoids the head kick by Mounds.

Left hook, right uppercut from Mounds. Mounds throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Mounds tries a low kick but Smith avoids it. Smith has closed the distance and engaged Mounds in a clinch.

Smith drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mounds gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Smith tries to land knees in the clinch but Mounds avoids the damage to the body. Smith keeps control of Mounds as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Mounds has had enough of the clinch but Smith keeps him there for the moment. Mounds is working Smith over against the cage. Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Smith uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mounds.
Mounds throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Smith drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smith has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vixen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Dawg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Vixen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dawg scores with a couple of nice shots. Vixen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Dawg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dawg connects with a nice short shot to Vixen's temple.
