Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Silver Surfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver Surfer had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Silver Surfer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Benton! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Surfer works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A jab from Surfer does it's job there. No luck for Surfer with that takedown attempt. Surfer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Benton to the mat! Benton manages to get full guard. Benton is looking to stand up but Surfer isn't so interested in that idea. Surfer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Surfer postures up in Benton's guard and throws a big left but Benton blocks it. Surfer prevents Benton from getting back to his feet. Surfer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Benton is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Benton keeps control of Surfer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Benton is trying to break free. Surfer is trying to break the clinch but Benton has him pressed against the cage. Surfer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Surfer tries to get to full guard but Benton has control of the leg. Surfer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Benton is working away from the top position though. Surfer is breathing heavily. Benton thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Benton decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Benton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Benton wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Benton throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Surfer stalks Benton and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Benton's face. Benton staggers backwards, shaken. Surfer has Benton up against the cage in a clinch.
Surfer is trying to break the clinch but Benton has him pressed against the cage. Surfer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Surfer with a poor takedown and Benton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Surfer's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Surfer duly obliges. Surfer digs a good hook to Benton's body.
Surfer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Surfer wants to clinch up but Benton keeps it at a distance. A punch combination from Surfer misses. Nice uppercut lands for Surfer. That snapped Benton's head back.
Surfer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Surfer is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. A combination from Surfer does no damage. Surfer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Benton tries to avoid it but Surfer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Benton to the ground. Benton escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Surfer tries to clinch up. Benton misses with a two punch combination.

Surfer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Benton keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Benton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Benton is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Benton is pressing down on Surfer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Surfer stops Benton from standing up. Benton lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! The fighters are pinned against the cage. Benton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Surfer misses with a combination
and Benton counters with a left to the body. Benton uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Surfer. Surfer misses with the combination.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Gracie as Silva shoots in. Gracie throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Gracie throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Gracie scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Gracie throwing shots but Silva is blocking nicely. Gracie seems to be working for a kimura but Silva defends the submission attempt. Gracie thows a huge punch but Silva dodges it nicely.
Silva tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg. Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Gracie throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard. Silva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Gracie won't allow Silva to sweep him here. Silva has his feet on Gracie's thighs here. He's pushed Gracie off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gracie screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Dent Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Plex's back instead. Dent tightening his grip on Plex, looking for the choke. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pesonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Pesonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pesonen. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seppo Pesonen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Johnson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pesonen. Pesonen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Pesonen shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Pesonen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson moves into the clinch. He's got his arms around Tynin's waist but Tynin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Riley off to one side. Tynin shoots and misses and Riley counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Riley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tynin is trying to keep an underhook but Riley manages to get the takedown into half guard. Riley thows a huge punch but Tynin dodges it nicely.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Riley wants to pass the guard but Tynin is keeping the position. Riley advances position into side control!
