Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roy Rodrigues! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Jones! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodrigues shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jones but Jones pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rodrigues sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Rodrigues wants to improve his position but Jones is controlling well.

Jones perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodrigues keeps control of the position for the meantime. Jones trying to control from half guard but Rodrigues is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rodrigues. Still in half guard, Jones seems content to control. Rodrigues is looking to control Jones's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rodrigues avoid being mounted? Jones controlling the action here. Jones gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones shoots in and bounces Rodrigues off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jones wants to pass the guard but Rodrigues is keeping the position. Rodrigues seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rodrigues is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodrigues trying to control the position here. Rodrigues wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rodrigues is breathing heavily. Rodrigues not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Jones lands the left hand. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones closes the distance and clinches. Jones jumps guard and drags Rodrigues to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Jones has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rodrigues off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Rodrigues misses with a series of wild punches.

Jones scores a takedown into full mount! Jones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rodrigues is looking to escape. Jones controlling his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thomas Jones dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Jones throws a lazy right hand but Rodrigues sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Rodrigues fails to land with a series of punches.
Rodrigues shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jones's guard. Rodrigues passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rodrigues moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Rodrigues's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jones can't do much from the bottom here.

Jones is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Rodrigues is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Rodrigues controlling the pace for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rodrigues trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones tries to lock up and control but Rodrigues gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rodrigues is trying to control here but Jones has managed to regain half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Rodrigues rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.

Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jones keeping full guard, as Rodrigues tries to pass. Rodrigues stays in close to Jones's body and controls the position.

Rodrigues slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rodrigues looking to pass the guard. Rodrigues would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Thomas Jones has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jones keeping full guard, as Rodrigues tries to pass. Rodrigues is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Rodrigues has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jones controls Rodrigues momentarily but Rodrigues frees himself. Jones keeping moving, preventing Rodrigues from controlling successfully. Jones pulls Rodrigues in close to prevent any damage.

Rodrigues won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Rodrigues wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving. Jones trying to control the position here. Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rodrigues is one step ahead there.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jones throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rodrigues's waist but Rodrigues gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jones off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones throws a right and a left that Rodrigues avoids nicely. Jones scores a takedown into full mount! Rodrigues is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jones tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jones thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lisbon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lisbon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lisbon wants to pass to mount but Hanko is defending the position. Lisbon stalling away here and it's allowed Hanko to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Lisbon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hanko is proving hard to escape from. Hanko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hanko swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lisbon is now in Hanko's guard. A big mistake from Hanko there, giving up the dominant position! Hanko looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lisbon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lisbon will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Hanko trying to control the position.
Lisbon stands up from Hanko's guard - Lisbon perhaps looking for a knockout. Hanko wants to clinch. Lisbon lands a head kick. Hanko smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Yashima Hanko has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Hanko as Lisbon shoots in. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lisbon! Hanko is out on his feet! Lisbon rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Hanko is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Hanko is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Page throws a series of punches but Pearson moves out of range. Pearson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Page circles away. Pearson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Page paws at him with a jab and circles away. Page really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Page closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pearson prevents Page from improving position. Page postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
