1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Petteri Vuorimaa! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vuorimaa misses with a head kick.
Vuorimaa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. The Hammer lands with a slapping head kick. The Hammer keeps the fight on the outside. The Hammer tries to clinch but Vuorimaa moves away and Vuorimaa counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in The Hammer's guard now. The Hammer wants to sweep here but Vuorimaa controlling him for the moment. Vuorimaa stands and steps away. The Hammer gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The Hammer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vuorimaa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Vuorimaa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vuorimaa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed The Hammer's head. Vuorimaa passes to side control. Vuorimaa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wooooo! Vuorimaa creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Vuorimaa decides to stand up, so the ref orders The Hammer to his feet. The Hammer blocks a head kick by Vuorimaa.
The Hammer slips a jab from Vuorimaa. Vuorimaa shoots in and bounces The Hammer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The Hammer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vuorimaa forces his way into half guard.

Vuorimaa manages to capitalize on a mistake by The Hammer to take his back! The Hammer preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Vuorimaa. Vuorimaa trying to control. Vuorimaa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The Hammer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Vuorimaa wants to control but The Hammer is keeping him busy. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vuorimaa working away. Vuorimaa controls the position. The Hammer can't do much from the bottom here. Vuorimaa shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Hammer's guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vuorimaa in particular looking to stall. The Hammer is looking to escape.

Neuvonen is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bachida gets his way!

Bachida drops an elbow to the side of Neuvonen's head. Bachida lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Neuvonen pushes Bachida off looking to stand but Bachida dives back in and keeps control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bachida rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Neuvonen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bachida gets off balance looking for a body kick and Neuvonen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Neuvonen wants a takedown.
Bachida is trying to trip Neuvonen. He has hold of a leg but Neuvonen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bachida persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Neuvonen keeping full guard, as Bachida tries to pass. Neuvonen is working an open guard so Bachida takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Neuvonen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Hannu Neuvonen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bachida closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bachida lands in his opponent's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Hyoto Bachida showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bachida has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That was a close round but I would say that Hjalmar Siilasvuo will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Daan Ron's cut. That's time! Siilasvuo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeWebb is looking to slow Goebbels down with leg kicks. Robert DeWebb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Goebbels takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
DeWebb moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. DeWebb throws a series of punches but Goebbels moves out of range. Goebbels misses with a takedown attempt - DeWebb sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Goebbels fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A jab from DeWebb misses. DeWebb misses with a wild body shot. DeWebb closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. DeWebb breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

DeWebb goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Goebbels decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Goebbels is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, DeWebb has managed to free his arm - good work. DeWebb knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Goebbels on the ground. DeWebb is trying to stand up here but Goebbels is controlling him well. Goebbels is working for a submission of some sort.

DeWebb wants to clinch up but Goebbels keeps it at a distance. Goebbels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Robert DeWebb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joseph Goebbels. DeWebb tries to close the distance and clinch up but Goebbels swats him away and circles back towards the center. Decent striking displayed by DeWebb there. DeWebb lands with a kick to the temple. Goebbels shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! DeWebb is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Goebbels hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balhoofd feints and as Hall raises his hands in defense, Balhoofd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hall looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Balhoofd won't allow Hall to sweep him here. Balhoofd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hall manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Balhoofd has Hall in his guard. Balhoofd looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Balhoofd is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Raju. Raju misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rodgers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Raju is looking for a sweep. Rodgers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Raju looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Raju has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Rodgers. Oh but Raju has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Rodgers goes limp - he's gone! Raju jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
