McMiller connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Wilson tumbling to the canvas! McMiller pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Wilson was done - good stoppage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vileplume throws a series of punches but Sundin avoids them all with ease.
Vileplume fails to land with a series of punches.
The fighters circling - Vileplume throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nice body kick there by Sundin.
Vileplume looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sundin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vileplume to the mat! Vileplume manages to get full guard.

Sundin seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Sundin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Vileplume lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Sundin shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sundin showed some decent athleticism there.
Sundin is looking to stall here but Vileplume recovers full guard.
Sundin advances position into side control!

Sundin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vileplume, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Sundin tries for a kimura but Vileplume is defending well.
Vileplume wants to get back to his feet but Sundin drags him back down.
Vileplume is not content to let Sundin control the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Vileplume explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Sundin dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Sundin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Vileplume is refusing to be controlled, as Sundin sits in half guard.
Vileplume is trying to stand up here but Sundin is controlling him well.

Sundin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vileplume is just riding it out for now. Sundin eventually gives up the hold.
Sundin content to control rather than advance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Vileplume is trying to stand up here but Sundin is controlling him well.
Sundin is taking a breather. Vileplume says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Sundin closes the distance and clinches up with Vileplume, looking for a takedown. Sundin pushes Vileplume against the ropes but Vileplume circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vileplume misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice leg kick lands there from Vileplume.
Vileplume throws a series of punches but Sundin avoids them all with ease.
Vileplume misses with a few strikes there.
Vileplume tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Sundin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vileplume moves out of range of the body kick from Sundin.

Sundin fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oddish Vileplume seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vileplume misses with a series of wild punches.
Vileplume connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sundin momentarily.

Sundin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sundin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Vileplume stuffs the takedown attempt from Sundin. Sundin gets slowly back to his feet.
Vileplume looks to land a combination. Sundin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Vileplume scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sundin shoots in for a takedown but Vileplume shows good takedown defense.
Oddish Vileplume is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Vileplume fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sundin manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Vileplume, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vileplume throws a right and a left that Sundin avoids nicely.

Vileplume rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sundin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sundin misses with a takedown attempt - Vileplume sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Sundin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck for Sundin with that takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horrible takedown by Sundin or perhaps it was just good defense by Vileplume which made him look bad.

Vileplume tries to close the distance and clinch but Sundin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sundin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Sundin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Vileplume will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Vileplume throws a sloppy head kick and Sundin moves out of range easily.
Vileplume tries a head kick but it misses.
Vileplume goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sundin shoots in but Vileplume avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Sundin dodges the punch combination from Vileplume.

Sundin shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vileplume but Vileplume pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sundin drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Sundin is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Vileplume.
Vileplume lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Vileplume goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Sundin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vileplume connects with a high kick.

Sundin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Sundin is looking to advance position but Vileplume won't allow it.

Sundin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Vileplume is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Sundin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sundin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Vileplume tries to kick Sundin off but Sundin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sundin works his way into side control.
Vileplume is pushing Sundin's head away, looking to escape. Sundin manages to hold on to the position though.

Oddish Vileplume comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Vileplume has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Sutherland throws a nice looking combination but Ulver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sutherland sizes up Ulver with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Ulver lands a brutal head kick. Sutherland looks out on his feet and Ulver throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Raven shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grind as he jumps to the side.
Raven circles away from the clinch attempt.
Grind wants to clinch.
Grind tries for a takedown but Raven circles away easily

and Raven counters with a nice double leg into side control. Grind won't be happy with that.
Raven is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Grind will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Grind regains half guard.
Raven wants to get back to his feet.
Raven is looking to take a break and control but Grind is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Raven is really struggling to control Grind but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Raven is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Grind is trying to stand back up but Raven is controlling him
Grind tries to roll over but Raven keeps him under control.
Grind makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Grind.
Grind can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Raven controls the pace.
Raven will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Grind had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Raven is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Grind Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Raven's back instead.
Raven tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Raven is breathing heavily.

Raven is in all sorts of trouble here.
Raven tries to hold on but Grind postures up.

Grind is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Raven is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Raven flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Grind anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Raven and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Grind slips an arm under Raven chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Grind has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Grind is squeezing on Raven like an anaconda would it's prey. Raven fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Al Grind! Al Grind retains his bantamweight title!
