Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Liu Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kang comes into the arena with Mortal kombat theme blaring out of the sound system. Ross has chosen Slaughterhouse-Sound Off as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang throws a body punch but Ross moves out of range.

Kang drives through and clinches with Ross against the cage.
Ross tries to land knees in the clinch but Kang avoids the damage to the body.
Ross trying to stall but Kang improves his position.
Kang on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ross with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ross pressing his opponent against the cage.

Ross is fighting off a takedown attempt but Kang is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ross to the mat. Ross regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ross wants to get back to his feet but Kang is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that YB Sol will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Sol lunges at Mendez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mendez's hand.

Mendez is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mendez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Mendez wants to control but Sol is having none of it.
Sol controlling from the full mount.
Mendez is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mendez tries to hold on but Sol pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mendez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Mendez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Sol cracks Mendez with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mendez is trying desperately to improve position.
Sol putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mendez is working to get back to half guard.
Mendez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

And that's the end of the fight!
YB Sol showed his dominance in that final round.
