The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Siegel misses with a wild combination.
Itaka shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Siegel as he avoids it easily. Siegel throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Itaka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Siegel. Siegel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Siegel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Itaka is rocked! Siegel drops Itaka with a left and a right! Oh, Itaka is hurt - Siegel dives into side control looking to finish!
Oh Itaka is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Siegel has knee on belly and moves into mount. Siegel looking to finish here with some ground and pound. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Koteas looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Koteas misses with an uppercut. Hades thuds a left hand into Koteas's body. Koteas looks to land a right hand but Hades moved out of range. Koteas misses with a hook. Koteas throws out a loose jab but Hades uses good head movement to avoid it. Hades fails to land with a series of punches.
Hades steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Koteas. A big left from Koteas misses. Koteas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Koteas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hades paws at him with a jab and circles away. Koteas blocks a jab. Elias Koteas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hades throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Koteas. Koteas misses with a hook. Koteas moves away from the strike by Hades.

and Hades cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Koteas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Koteas misses with a hook. Hades ducked under it nicely. Koteas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Hades connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Koteas is breathing heavily. Koteas closes the distance and clinches up with Hades, looking for a takedown. Koteas pushes Hades against the cage but Hades circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elias Koteas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hades feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Koteas sprawling to the canvas! Koteas rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hades finish him?!

and Hades counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Koteas to take - he tumbles to the cavas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Hades!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Takanori fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

It looks like Eddie Faber has been cut. Faber closes the distance and clinches up with Takanori, looking for a takedown. Faber pushes Takanori against the cage but Takanori circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Faber is still on wobbly legs! Can Takanori finish him? Faber landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The fighters are battling for position here. Takanori manages to regain full guard. Nice work. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Takanori's guard. Takanori is trying to control the position but Faber postures up. Faber is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Faber pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Takanori is keeping the position for now. Takanori looking for a sweep. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Takanori stalks Faber and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Faber's face. Faber staggers backwards, shaken. Faber feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Faber is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Faber is in close to Takanori's body, working some short punches and elbows. Faber lands a couple of elbows. Faber slips nicely into half guard. Ground and pound from Faber. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Faber throws an elbow but Takanori slips to the side and avoids it well. Faber cracks Takanori with an elbow. That is naaassty. Faber trying to control the action but Takanori is working from the bottom. Faber staying calm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takanori wants to control but Faber postures up. Takanori is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Takanori's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Takanori scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Takanori rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Faber moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A punch combination from Takanori misses. Faber closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Faber lands in his opponent's guard. Takanori looking to control.
Faber stays in close to Takanori's body and controls the position. Faber pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Takanori is keeping the position for now. Faber works a leg free and moves into half guard. Lion Takanori has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Takanori is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Faber pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Eddie Faber comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Faber winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

enabling McKean to counter with a crisp jab. Mann gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and McKean counters with a nice uppercut. McKean connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. McKean uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mann has time to react. McKean waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Mann. McKean stalks Mann and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mann's face. Mann staggers backwards, shaken. Mann clinches with his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Barry McKean. I think Mann has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hyde gets a takedown into half guard. Hyde seems to be looking for submissions.
Johnson keeping hold of Hyde's head, controlling as best he can. Hyde is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hyde to get the leverage. Hyde passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnson! Hyde is trying to take his opponent's back.
Hyde working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up. Johnson holds on for dear life, controlling Hyde's posture momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hyde has control of Johnson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Johnson regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Johnson tries to hold on but Hyde pushes him away. Hyde is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Johnson is surviving well by controlling Hyde's body position as best he can. Johnson regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hyde is looking to advance position but Johnson won't allow it. Hyde is working for a submission of some sort.
Johnson is holding on to half guard well. Johnson works his way to full guard. Good work. Hyde stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. He tries to recover but McDrunken pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Smasher is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
