0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wells Dengel! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dengel throws a right hand that Rua ducks under and follows up with a left that Rua also avoids with ease. Rua shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dengel as he jumps to the side.
Dengel bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dengel tries for a kimura but Rua is defending well. Rua is looking for a sweep. Rua manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Dengel is holding on to half guard well. Rua trying to control the action but Dengel is working from the bottom. Dengel tries to roll over but Rua keeps him under control. Dengel is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Dengel is refusing to be controlled, as Rua sits in half guard. Dengel trying to control but Rua postures up.
Rua uses his free foot to push down on Dengel's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dengel. Dengel is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Dengel looks gassed! Rua can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Dengel is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dengel can do anything to dispel that myth. Dengel prevents Rua from taking his back.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rua trying to control but he's not successful this time. Rua misses with a head shot.
Rua working for a guillotine from mount but Dengel is in no mood to give up. Rua prevents Dengel from getting the reversal. Rua wants to control the pace but Dengel is squirming around nicely. Dengel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rua. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Rua unloading with bombs! Rua tries to control but Dengel wriggling away. Dengel wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Rua.

Dengel is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Rua wants to control the pace but Dengel is squirming around nicely.
Rua stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rua gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Dengel counters with a nice double leg into guard. Rua working a defensive guard here.
Rua has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dengel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Dengel throws a big right hand that misses. Dengel is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Dengel throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Wells Dengel dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rua gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rua utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Dengel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dengel looking to pass the guard. Dengel stopping the sweep attempt from Rua. Dengel stands and throws Rua's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dengel wants to control but Rua is keeping him busy.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Rua is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dengel moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. You can see the frustration on Rua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rua is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dengel is controlling the pace.

 The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dengel pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rua shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Dengel decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rua, up you get! Rua wants to clinch. Rua closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dengel circles away.

Wells Dengel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Rua tries to escape but Dengel has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Dengel is riding his opponent, not letting Rua buck him off. Let's hope that Dengel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rua tries to escape the position.

 That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rua is trying to get back to his feet but Dengel has full control of the position and if anything, Rua has just worked his way into a worse spot. Rua tries to break free.
Even with his hooks in, Dengel manages to miss with strikes from the back. Dengel is hanging on to Rua's back as he tries to escape.
Rua is taking damage to the body and head.

Dengel pulls Rua in close to his closed guard and prevents Rua from doing any damage or advancing position. Rio Rua has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rua sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dengel's guard. Dengel wants to improve his position but Rua is controlling well.
Rua wants to take a breather but Dengel is having none of it.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Rua is looking for a kimura but Dengel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rua to get the leverage. Rua prevents Dengel from standing back up.
Dengel gets back to full guard.
Rua trying to control the position from guard on top but Dengel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rua is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dengel is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rua drops Dengel with a left right combo! Rua follows him down to the ground into side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Wells Dengel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Dengel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A solid leg kick lands there for Walsh.
Walsh lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Emelianenko shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Emelianenko showed some decent athleticism there.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fedor tries to clinch up but Krushtov circles away and keeps his distance. Fedor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fedor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Krushtov throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Krushtov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Fedor keeping full guard, as Krushtov tries to pass. Fedor wants to stand up but Krushtov is controlling him. Krushtov with a nice head shot there. Krushtov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Price lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Power fails with an attempt to clinch.

Price winds up and cracks Power with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Price working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Power is staying active underneath Price, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skovich stalks Владисл and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Владисл's face. Владисл staggers backwards, shaken.
Владисл shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Владисл unloading with bombs!
 It looks like Alexander Skovich has been cut. Skovich tries to get back to half guard but can't. Skovich takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Владисл throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Skovich is trying to stand up. Владисл loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Skovich scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Владисл land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Владисл stands and salutes the crowd.

Maslov bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hilkuri is looking to reverse the position. Hilkuri is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hilkuri is not content to let Maslov control the position.
Maslov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hilkuri, who protects the arm well. Maslov lands a few punches from side control. Hilkuri tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Maslov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Maslov trying to control the action but Hilkuri is working from the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Maslov working away. Hilkuri is trying to get back to half guard. Maslov working away. Hilkuri manages to get back to half guard. Maslov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Hilkuri knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Hilkuri is trying to control but can't.
 The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hilkuri tries for a takedown but Maslov circles away easily
and Maslov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hilkuri is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Maslov has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Hilkuri. Oh but Maslov has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Hilkuri goes limp - he's gone! Maslov jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Galiev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Power with a lazy takedown attempt and Galiev counters with a nice body kick.

Galiev had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Power is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Power shoots in and drives through. Galiev sprawls well. Power throws a series of punches but Galiev moves out of range. Galiev fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Galiev lands a right hook to the body.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Galiev is looking to slow Power down with leg kicks. Galiev tries a low kick but Power avoids it. Galiev misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Power.

Galiev throws out a leg kick but Power moves out of range and Galiev only half commits. Robert Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Galiev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Power's waist but Power gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Galiev off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vener Galiev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Power shoots in for a double leg but Galiev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Power tries to clinch up and Galiev counters with a nice leg kick. Power closes the distance and lands a one-two. Galiev misses with a takedown attempt
and Power counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Galiev is breathing heavily. Power not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Power seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Galiev is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Rotterdam looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drago is fending him off so far but Rotterdam persists. Nope, Drago circles away and we're back to standing. Drago tries to bum rush Rotterdam with a series of wild strikes but Rotterdam uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Rotterdam connects with a looping right hand.
Rotterdam thuds a left hand into Drago's body. Rotterdam waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Drago. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Drago to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
 Drago is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rotterdam advances to half guard. Oh Drago is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
