West has control of Bader's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bader regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Bader holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
West is leaning against Bader and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
West lands a hook that snaps the head of Bader backwards.
Bader drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
West is pressed up against the cage. Bader has hold of a leg and is looking to drag West down to the mat. West avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

West drives through and clinches with Bader against the cage.
Bader pushes West back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
West tries for a takedown. No joy.
West stops a takedown attempt from Bader.
Joe West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Bader.

West breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Joe West is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
West scores with a jab. Bader acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

West throws a body punch but Bader moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and West counters with a good low kick that Bader was not able to check.

and West counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

West gets caught flat footed, as Bader shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

West tries to strike from the bottom.
Bader throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bader wants to pass the guard but West is keeping the position.
Bader is looking to advance position but West has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

West with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Bader sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

West looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bader lands a couple of sideways elbows.
West working over Bader with some ground and pound. Bader looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

West postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bader to stand up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
West connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
West feints and then cracks Bader's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bader down.
West lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bader will feel that in the morning.
A nice combination there by West.

Bader is rocked!
West fails to land the takedown.
West catches Bader with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bader is still on wobbly legs! Can West finish him?

Bader scores a takedown into full mount!
Bader seems to have recovered his senses.
Bader scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish West?

West is rocked!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bader looking to secure an arm triangle but West defends it well.
Oh West is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bader cracks West with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Kalyagin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nasty takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kalyagin cracks Nasty with a left hook right on the temple and Nasty goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Kalyagin lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Nasty is OK!
