The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Prince shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Prince was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Scott keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Scott wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Prince tries to get the hooks in deep but Scott pushed the leg off.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Scott turns into Prince and is now in his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Derrek Scott will probably get the nod.

These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Hopp postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lamont in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lamont to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
