The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Casillas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Casillas takes a shot right to the bread basket. Casillas tries to clinch up but Effrairo circles away and keeps his distance. Casillas misses with a wild combination.
Casillas swings for the body but Effrairo moves out of range.
Effrairo showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Casillas.
Effrairo drives through and clinches with Casillas against the cage.

Casillas tries to land knees in the clinch but Effrairo avoids the damage to the body. Effrairo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Casillas or not. Casillas is working for takedown but Effrairo is calmly controlling the position for now. Effrairo lands a nice uppercut. A short right hand to the side of the head by Effrairo. Effrairo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Casillas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Effrairo throws a jab when Casillas was well out of range. Jacob Casillas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Casillas throws a body punch but Effrairo moves out of range.

Casillas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Casillas is breathing heavily. Jab by Effrairo.
Casillas is rocked! Effrairo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Casillas's hands. Oh Casillas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Effrairo throws an overhand right that drops Casillas like a sack of potatoes! Effrairo dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grenado misses with a few strikes there.
Grenado dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vihtahousu. That did some damage! Grenado lands a head kick. Vihtahousu smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Vihtahousu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Vihtahousu fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Vihtahousu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Grenado, who protects the arm well. Vihtahousu could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. What's Grenado going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle. Grenado really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vihtahousu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Vihtahousu working the head with strikes. Vihtahousu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Vihtahousu fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Vihtahousu shoots for a takedown but Grenado saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Grenado lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vihtahousu will feel that in the morning. Grenado looks to land a combination but Vihtahousu avoids it well. Grenado attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A punch combination from Grenado misses. Vihtahousu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Grenado misses the shot to the body. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Grenado, right into the meat.
Grenado keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pera Vihtahousu. That's going to take a lot out of him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vihtahousu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vihtahousu walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Grenado thows a body kick. Vihtahousu tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Grenado manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Oh Vihtahousu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Grenado tries to clinch but Vihtahousu is having none of it. Vihtahousu seems to have got his legs back now. A big right followed by a crushing left from Grenado knocks Vihtahousu out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Why pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Why fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Slewton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Why does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Slewton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Why's head. Why won't allow Slewton to pass to mount. Why works his way to full guard. Good work. Why tries to land a sweep but no joy.

9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Rodey! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Torres. Torres is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rodey keeps the fight on the outside. Torres tries to clinch there but Rodey circles away.
Rodey misses with a hook. Torres moves out of range as Rodey strikes. Torres misses with a wild combination.
Rodey looks to land a combination but Torres avoids it well. Torres is looking to clinch. Rodey throws a low kick, looking for Torres's leg but Torres calmly moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rodey avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rodey swats away the attempt to clinch by Torres. Rodey throws a hook but Torres avoids it easily. Torres checks a low kick from Rodey. Kid Torres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres closes the distance and lands a one-two. Rodey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rodey keeps the fight on the outside. Rodey showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Torres.
Torres goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Rodey keeps the fight on the outside. Torres moves into the clinch successfully.

Torres throws a knee to the head but misses.
Rodey on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Rodey tries to score a body lock takedown but Torres shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rodey wants to get back to striking at distance but Torres won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rodey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Torres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodey paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Torres looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Torres is looking to clinch. Rodey moves out of range of the body kick from Torres.

An inside leg kick from Rodey misses. Torres avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rodey closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rodey lands in his opponent's guard. Rodey stays in close to Torres's body and controls the position. Torres manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres tries to clinch but Rodey moves out of range. Torres ducks under a wild hook from Rodey. Torres tries to clinch but Rodey moves out of range. Torres paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Torres doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rodey counters with a straight right hand.
Torres is rocked! Torres is breathing heavily. Torres fails with the takedown and Rodey counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
