0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Omega Red! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Red dodges the punch combination from Backslide.
Backslide throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Red. Backslide moves out of range of the body kick. Good shot there by Backslide.
It looks like Omega Red has been cut. Backslide drops Red with a nice combination! Backslide dives into Red's guard, looking to finish!
Red is rocked! Red wants to stand up but Backslide is controlling him. Red is still in real trouble! Can Backslide finish him? Red controlling the position. Red seems to have recovered his senses. Red wants to get back to his feet but Backslide is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Backslide would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red wants to stand up but Backslide is controlling him. Backslide has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Red is proving hard to escape from. Red looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Red seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Backslide swinging wilding here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Red shoots in for a takedown but Backslide shows good takedown defense. Backslide throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Horrible takedown by Red or perhaps it was just good defense by Backslide which made him look bad. Backslide drops Red with a beautiful combination! Red stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Backslide is looking for the KO! Backslide misses with a two punch combination.
Red shoots in for a double leg but Backslide sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dan Backslide has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Omega Red. Nice body punch from Backslide. Red gets the takedown into side control. Backslide is breathing heavily. Backslide is trying to buck Red off. Red trying to control the action but Backslide is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The ground and pound from Red seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Red wants to lay and pray for a moment but Backslide keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Backslide dominated that round. The cut man is working on Omega Red's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Red decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Red stalling. Red tries to stand and escape but Backslide is controlling the position. Backslide on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Backslide tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Red thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Backslide's head. Red wants to take a breather but Backslide is having none of it. Red takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Backslide tries to kick Red off but Red keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Red throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Red stops Backslide from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Backslide ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Horrible takedown by Red or perhaps it was just good defense by Backslide which made him look bad. Red is breathing heavily. Backslide lands a hook that stumbles Red back into the cage. Backslide follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Red to the canvas! Backslide pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Red has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!

Leeroy has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Bruce Leeroy had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendal is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Leeroy is breathing heavily. Mendal wants to clinch up but Leeroy keeps it at a distance. Mendal tries to clinch but Leeroy moves out of range. Mendal misses with an attempted mid kick.

Leeroy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Leeroy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Leeroy showed some decent athleticism there. Mendal is looking to regain full guard. Mendal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Leeroy stops Mendal from standing up. Leeroy controls from within his opponent's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Mendal is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Leeroy is controlling him. Leeroy showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mendal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leeroy is one step ahead there. Leeroy trying to control but Mendal is working from the bottom. Mendal striking off his back but it's not causing Leeroy any problems. Leeroy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sudaf Mendal has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Leeroy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mendal keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mendal tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mendal sneaks back into half guard. Mendal looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Leeroy wants to pass the guard but Mendal is defending well. Mendal tries to kick Leeroy off but Leeroy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Leeroy is keen to just control but Mendal is a slippery customer. Mendal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Leeroy content to control rather than advance.
And that's the end of the fight! Bruce Leeroy showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Leeroy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kindbom throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kindbom looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kindbom doesn't manage to clinch there - Mai circles away.
Kindbom has closed the distance and engaged Mai in a clinch.
Mai landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Mai misses with a knee strike.
A head punch on the inside from Mai fails to land. Mai holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Kindbom fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Mai breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Mai looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mai trying to stand up but can't free himself from Kindbom's guard. Kindbom can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mai controls the pace. Mai is pushing down on Kindbom's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kindbom is fighting to maintain full guard but Mai has managed to sneak the leg through. Mai looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mai moves into full mount! Kindbom won't be happy about that! Mai looking to control but Kindbom is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Mai connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Kindbom tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mai raining down shots from the mount! Mai takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mai tries to control but Kindbom wriggling away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kindbom tries to reverse the position but Mai maintains control. Kindbom has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mai tries to get the hooks in deep but Kindbom pushed the leg off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kindbom is trapped and Mai is scoring with shots to the head and body. Kindbom holding both Mai 's hands and preventing any damage. Kindbom tries to roll but Mai sticks to his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mai lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Mai tries to keep control of the position but Kindbom is staying busy. Kindbom breaks Mai's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Mai is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mai tries to pass to full mount but Kindbom defends it. Mai passes to full mount! Kindbom is squirming around, avoiding Mai's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mai avoids the attempt from Kindbom to control. Kindbom has given up his back.
Kindbom is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Mai throws strikes from the back but Kindbom rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Kindbom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mai looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kindbom! Mai get's back to his feet. Mai shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kindbom as he jumps to the side. Kindbom shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mai counters with a shoot takedown. Kindbom fights it but they end up in guard. Mai scoring with some ground and pound.
Kindbom is rocked! Mai with a nice head shot there. Kindbom is still in real trouble! Can Mai finish him? Mai controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Mai gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Mai has Kindbom up against the cage in a clinch.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hester is trying to maintain the position but Bass is very close to passing his half guard. Hester regains full guard. Nicely done. Bass shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bass showed some decent athleticism there. Hester makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hester. Hester is looking for a triangle but Bass pushes his legs off easily.
Bass connects with a couple of short punches. Bass trying to control but Hester is working from the bottom. Bass stopping the sweep attempt from Hester. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sea Bass dominated that round. The cut man is working on Sea Bass's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bass checks a leg kick. Bass gets a clinch. Bass tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hester smiles and moves away.
Hester tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Bass counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hester! Hester really wants to buck Bass off and get back to his feet. Bass lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bass has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hester's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bass looking to control but Hester is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bass cracks Hester with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Hester can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
