Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Gronfors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenjiro Yoshinobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshinobi has chosen Light It Up as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenjiro Yoshinobi! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gronfors will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Yoshinobi closes the distance and clinches. Yoshinobi jumps guard and drags Gronfors to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Yoshinobi uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Gronfors circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gronfors shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yoshinobi as he jumps to the side. Yoshinobi is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A combination from Gronfors does no damage. Yoshinobi doesn't manage to clinch there - Gronfors circles away.

Michael Gronfors seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gronfors keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Yoshinobi tries to clinch but Gronfors is having none of it.

Yoshinobi trying to control the action but Gronfors is working from the bottom. Yoshinobi decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gronfors to his feet. Yoshinobi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gronfors, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gronfors has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Yoshinobi clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Good control from Gronfors. Gronfors has the hooks in. Yoshinobi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Gronfors has good solid back control here. Yoshinobi looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Gronfors's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Yoshinobi trying to control the position but Gronfors manages to sink in the hooks. Gronfors has the hooks in. Yoshinobi gets the takedown into side control. Yoshinobi stands up and beckons Gronfors to his feet. Gronfors staying out of range there. Yoshinobi is looking to clinch but Gronfors is avoiding it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Yoshinobi. Yoshinobi changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gronfors fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hollow avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stevens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hollow swats him away and circles back towards the center. Good shot there by Stevens. Hollow swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hollow keeps the fight on the outside. Hollow lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like AW Stevens has been cut. Stevens uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hollow. Stevens tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Stevens shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hollow as he avoids it easily. Hollow has Stevens up against the cage in a clinch.

Stevens tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Hollow counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stevens won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hollow lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stevens avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hollow. Hollow tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Stevens is looking for a sweep. Stevens can't do much from the bottom here. Stevens is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hollow off and has taken his back! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Stevens's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Stevens lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hollow! Hollow bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hollow wants to pass the guard but Stevens is keeping the position. Hollow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Stevens has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hollow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Stevens is breathing heavily.

Nice work. Stevens wants to get back to full guard but Hollow has mounted him! Hollow looking to ground and pound but Stevens is blocking nicely. Stevens wants to hold on but Hollow pushes him away. Stevens really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Stevens bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Hollow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hollow missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hollow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Stevens keeping full guard, as Hollow tries to pass. Gabriel Hollow has got the better of the ground game so far. Stevens with a couple of short strikes. Hollow is desperately trying to improve his position but Stevens has a good base and remains in mount. Hollow is in a horrible position here. Stevens smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Hollow punches the canvas rather than the man. Stevens is taking damage to the body and head. Even with his hooks in, Hollow manages to miss with strikes from the back. Hollow has Stevens flattened out and is raining down punches. Hollow lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Stevens.

Hollow is trying to stick to Stevens's back but Stevens is turning into Hollow. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hollow's guard. Gomi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Osatoko will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Osatoko bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Osatoko is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gomi will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Osatoko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. Endo is trying to control Dinh's posture but Dinh avoids it. Endo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dinh wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dinh is fighting to maintain full guard but Endo has managed to sneak the leg through. Endo prevents Dinh from improving his position. Endo passes the guard and advances to mount! Koyo showed some decent athleticism there. Koyo trying to control from Ankka's half guard. Ankka has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Ankka lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Koyo! Ankka throws some wild stikes that Koyo manages to avoid easily.
