The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seponpoika loads up on a big right hand but Manfred slips the punch.
Seponpoika is looking to clinch but Manfred is avoiding it.
Seponpoika pivots, looking for a leg kick but Manfred is out of range and Seponpoika settles back down.
Seponpoika tries to close the distance and clinch but Manfred swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Manfred misses with a few strikes there.
Seponpoika stuffs the takedown.
Manfred shoots for a takedown but Seponpoika saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lassi Seponpoika seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manfred throws a nice looking combination but Seponpoika bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Seponpoika is looking to clinch but Manfred is avoiding it.

Manfred changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Seponpoika tries to avoid it but Manfred manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Seponpoika to the ground. Seponpoika escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Manfred throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Seponpoika escapes and throws Manfred's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Manfred is pushing Seponpoika's head away, looking to escape. Seponpoika manages to hold on to the position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Manfred wants to sweep here but Seponpoika controlling him for the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Seponpoika is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Seponpoika looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Seponpoika tries to clinch but Manfred moves out of range.

No joy there for Manfred, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Manfred on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Seponpoika. Seponpoika obviously looking to wear him down.

Manfred throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Seponpoika's waist but Seponpoika gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Manfred off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Seponpoika looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Seponpoika throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Manfred blocks it with crossed arms.

Manfred is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Seponpoika pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Seponpoika lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manfred goes for a takedown attempt but Seponpoika pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Seponpoika is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Manfred has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manfred fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Seponpoika tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Manfred counters with a single leg into guard. Seponpoika didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Seponpoika is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Seponpoika can do anything to dispel that myth.
Manfred slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Seponpoika is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Manfred working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Manfred is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Seponpoika knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Manfred is looking to take a break and control but Seponpoika is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Manfred swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Seponpoika is now in Manfred's guard. A big mistake from Manfred there, giving up the dominant position!

Seponpoika takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The referee warns Seponpoika that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

and Manfred counters with a flying knee. Nice.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Manfred takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Manfred wants to take a breather but Seponpoika is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Manfred lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Seponpoika keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Hans Manfred showed his dominance in that final round.

Niittynen misses with a hook. Jagermeister ducked under it nicely.

Niittynen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jagermeister.
Niittynen misses with an uppercut.
Niittynen misses the jab.
A combination from Jagermeister does no damage.
Jagermeister swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Niittynen counters with a left hand that sends Jagermeister to the canvas!

Niittynen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Niittynen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Niittynen with the ground and pound but Jagermeister regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Jagermeister seems to have got his legs back now.

Niittynen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jagermeister is just riding it out for now. Niittynen eventually gives up the hold.
