Rodrigo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. You can see the frustration on Rodrigo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Rodrigo is letting Alvez control him for a moment. Alvez working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodrigo tries to bench press Alvez off him but Alvez keeps the position. Rodrigo seems a little lost for a moment, as Alvez dominates the positioning.

Leopoldo tries for a takedown but Meatstock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Leopoldo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Leopoldo tries to clinch but Meatstock is having none of it. Leopoldo wants to clinch. Meatstock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leopoldo takes a shot right to the bread basket. Oh, that's a big right hand from Meatstock and Leopoldo goes tumbling to the canvas! Meatstock follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
