The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saltykov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
It looks like Jan Nowak has been cut. Saltykov takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Nowak lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Saltykov sprawling to the canvas. Nowak follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Saltykov hang on?
Saltykov is rocked! Still in half guard, Nowak seems content to control. Oh Saltykov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Saltykov seems to have got his legs back now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Saltykov is trying to maintain the position but Nowak is very close to passing his half guard. Nowak is controlling the pace.
Saltykov wants to stand back up but Nowak manages to pass into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nowak remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Nowak wants to control for a moment but Saltykov uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Saltykov wants to take a breather but Nowak is having none of it. Nowak is doing well to control the position and prevent Saltykov from advancing to side control. Saltykov wants to free his trapped foot but Nowak is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Saltykov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Nowak does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Nowak makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nowak. Nowak is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nowak tries to land a sweep but no joy. Saltykov loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Nowak is pulling down on Saltykov's head. It's preventing any offense from Saltykov, at least for the moment. Saltykov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nowak, up you get!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Saltykov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Nowak.
Saltykov slips under a jab. Jan Nowak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nowak connects with a crisp jab. Nowak looks to land a right hand but Saltykov moved out of range. Saltykov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Saltykov moves in looking to clinch but Nowak pushes him off. A punch lands to the side of Saltykov 's head but he takes it in his stride. No luck for Saltykov with that takedown attempt. Saltykov is breathing heavily. Nowak lands a big shot that drops Saltykov! Can he finish him?
Nowak slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Nowak wants to pass the guard but Saltykov is keeping the position. Nowak passes Saltykov's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nowak stalling. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nowak is just content to waste time from the top position. Saltykov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Saltykov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Saltykov shoots in but Nowak avoids the takedown attempt easily. Saltykov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Uriah Saltykov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nowak connects with a nice looking jab.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz tries to clinch but Cabbab is having none of it. Cabbab shoots for a takedown but Ortiz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Ortiz doesn't manage to clinch there - Cabbab circles away.
Ortiz moves in looking to clinch but Cabbab pushes him off. Ortiz slips under a jab from Cabbab. Ortiz throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cabbab's head. Ortiz is looking to clinch. Cabbab tries for a takedown but Ortiz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ortiz with a poor takedown and Cabbab counters with a shoot takedown. Ortiz fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ortiz scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cabbab looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ortiz is fending him off so far but Cabbab persists. Nope, Ortiz circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Omar Cabbab. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ortiz wants to clinch up but Cabbab keeps it at a distance. Ortiz misses with a takedown and Cabbab counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Ortiz's guard now. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cabbab accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cabbab stands up from Ortiz's guard - Cabbab perhaps looking for a knockout. Cabbab is breathing heavily. Cabbab shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ortiz pinned against the cage. Ortiz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ortiz is looking to clinch. Cabbab swats away the attempt to clinch by Ortiz. Ortiz tries to clinch up but Cabbab circles away and keeps his distance. Ortiz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ortiz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cabbab has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ortiz avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ortiz manages to pull guard.
Cabbab working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ortiz's head. Cabbab has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cabbab with a flurry of punches that miss. Cabbab advances to half guard. Ortiz is trying to stand up here but Cabbab is controlling him well. Cabbab is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ortiz moves into full guard.

He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabbab trying to pass the guard but Ortiz defending well. Cabbab winds up and cracks Ortiz with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ortiz kicks Cabbab off and gets back to his feet. Cabbab throws a hook to the side of Ortiz's head but Ortiz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ortiz tries to clinch but Cabbab is having none of it. Ortiz tries to close the distance and clinch but Cabbab swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ortiz looks to land a right hand but Cabbab moved out of range. Ortiz tries to clinch but Cabbab is having none of it. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Ortiz, right into the meat.
Ortiz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cabbab distracts Ortiz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Cabbab with a flurry of punches that miss. Cabbab throws a big right hand that misses. Cabbab working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ortiz's head. Cabbab connects with a couple of short punches. Cabbab connects with a couple of short punches. Cabbab postures up in Ortiz's guard and throws a big left but Ortiz blocks it. Cabbab throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ortiz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Cabbab stands up from Ortiz's guard - Cabbab perhaps looking for a knockout. Ortiz tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Cabbab counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! You can see the frustration on Ortiz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Cabbab dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It looks like Vega Ortiz has been cut. Cabbab cracks Ortiz with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ortiz tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Cabbab pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ortiz is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Larsson throws a quick inside leg kick. Bishop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Larsson tries to avoid it but Bishop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Larsson to the ground. Larsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Bishop rushes Larsson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Bishop lands an elbow just above Larsson 's eye.
