2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simppa Koivu! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Anthony Taglia.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koivu drops Tnarffous with a beautiful combination! Tnarffous stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Koivu is looking for the KO!
 It looks like Notsag Tnarffous has been cut. Tnarffous tries for a takedown but Koivu sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Koivu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
 Tnarffous is rocked! Koivu misses with an uppercut. Oh Tnarffous is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Koivu misses the jab. Koivu looks to land a combination but Tnarffous avoids it well. Koivu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tnarffous changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koivu tries to avoid it but Tnarffous manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koivu to the ground. Koivu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Koivu throws out a loose jab but Tnarffous uses good head movement to avoid it. Koivu jabbing away but nothing is landing. Koivu throws a series of punches but Tnarffous avoids them all with ease. Koivu loads up on a big right hand but Tnarffous slips the punch. Koivu throws a jab when Tnarffous was well out of range. Koivu misses with a looping left. Horrible takedown by Tnarffous or perhaps it was just good defense by Koivu which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Notsag Tnarffous. That's going to take a lot out of him. Koivu misses with a hook. Tnarffous ducked under it nicely. Koivu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tnarffous seems to have got his legs back now.
Tnarffous shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tnarffous was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Koivu wants to control but Tnarffous is having none of it.
Tnarffous is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Koivu is surviving well by controlling Tnarffous's body position as best he can. Koivu slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Tnarffous frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Tnarffous goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Koivu turns into him and now he's in Tnarffous's guard.
Tnarffous can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Koivu controls the pace.
Tnarffous has his foot on Koivu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Koivu works his way back into a safe position though. Tnarffous is breathing heavily. Tnarffous swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Jackson Michaels will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Brawler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. McFisticuffs takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Brawler keeping full guard, as McFisticuffs tries to pass. McFisticuffs must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brawler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by The Rain Man as he connects with a hook. Fox could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The Rain Man looks to land a left hand but Fox moved out of range nicely. The Rain Man fails with an attempt to clinch.
Fox shoots in but no luck this time. Fox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Rain Man tries to avoid it but Fox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Rain Man to the ground. The Rain Man escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fox. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Francisco Fox. That's going to take a lot out of him. The Rain Man lands a jab to the nose.
Fox gets the takedown into side control. The Rain Man pushes Fox away and creates a bit of space to escape. Strangler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Strangler connects with a nice short shot to Brown's temple.

Strangler feints and as Brown raises his hands in defense, Strangler changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Strangler wants to pass the guard but Brown is keeping the position.

Brown tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Strangler wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Brown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ball tries to avoid it but Tyson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ball to the ground. Ball escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tyson tries for a takedown but Ball sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ball throws a right and a left that both miss. Ball swinging wilding here.

Tyson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ball is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tyson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ball's back instead.
