The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez stuffs the takedown attempt from Gaspar. Gaspar gets slowly back to his feet. Alvarez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Gaspar has closed the distance and engaged Alvarez in a clinch.
Gaspar turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gaspar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Alvarez has escaped the position, nice work there. Gaspar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gaspar is looking to take a break and control but Alvarez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Gaspar tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Gaspar has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Gaspar advances nicely into full mount.

Gaspar fails to advance to Alvarez's back. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gaspar tries to control but Alvarez wriggling away. Alvarez is taking a breather. Gaspar says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Gaspar is looking to improve his position.
Gaspar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Gaspar keeping moving, preventing Alvarez from controlling successfully. Gaspar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gaspar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alvarez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gaspar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alvarez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gaspar wants to clinch. Gaspar wants to clinch up but Alvarez keeps it at a distance.

Alvarez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gaspar counters with a head kick. That will keep Alvarez thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Gaspar looking for the choke but no joy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gaspar is not going to allow Alvarez to sit and survive in this position.

Gaspar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alvarez regains half guard there - taking advantage of Gaspar's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Fidel Gaspar has got the better of the ground game so far. Alvarez wants to control but Gaspar is keeping busy.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Thiago Alvarez. Well Gaspar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carwin darts in and clinches Pearson up against the cage. Carwin just leaning against Pearson, taking a breather. Pearson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pearson struggles to land a body shot inside as Carwin controls his hands.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viper PG Master! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ross Kelly! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! PG Master fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kelly looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! PG Master shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kelly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kelly tries a head kick but it misses.
Nice sprawl there from Kelly as PG Master shoots in. PG Master tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kelly swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Viper PG Master. That's going to take a lot out of him. PG Master swinging wilding here.
PG Master closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kelly circles away. PG Master shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kelly pinned against the cage. Kelly gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kelly stuffs the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kelly swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with PG Master. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. PG Master is trying to control but can't.

Kelly is thwarting PG Master's attempts to control the position. PG Master gets full guard. PG Master is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. PG Master has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kelly doesn't defend quickly enough and PG Master has managed to lock this one up! Can Kelly escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to PG Master on a fantastic submission victory.
