The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velli cracks the inside of Torni's front leg.
Velli looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Torni steps into range and cracks Velli with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Velli flops backwards and Torni dives into his guard looking to finish!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Koskinen misses.
Koskinen shoots in for a takedown but Romano shows good takedown defense.
Koskinen drops Romano with a right and a left! Koskinen comes rushing in but Romano regains his composure and manages to keep Koskinen in guard.

Romano is rocked!

It looks like Andre Romano has been cut.
Koskinen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Romano's head.
Romano is still in real trouble! Can Koskinen finish him?
Koskinen trying to control but Romano is working from the bottom.
Romano seems to have recovered his senses.
Romano can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Koskinen controls the pace.

Koskinen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Romano as he jumps to the side.
Romano tries to clinch but Koskinen is having none of it.

Koskinen has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Romano has passed into side control.
Koskinen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Romano decides to stand back up. Romano steps back and let's Koskinen get back to his feet.
Koskinen has a takedown stuffed.
Romano closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Mikael Koskinen has been cut.
Koskinen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Koskinen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Romano fails with an attempt to clinch.
Romano tries to close the distance and clinch but Koskinen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Romano misses with a few strikes there.
Romano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Koskinen.

Romano sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Koskinen to the ground! Romano dives into full mount looking to finish!

Koskinen is rocked!

Romano get's back to his feet.
Oh Koskinen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fight stays on the outside here - Romano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Romano throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Koskinen crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Andre Romano!
Andre Romano is the new lightweight champion!
