The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sax has closed the distance and engaged Muamba in a clinch.
Sax tries for a takedown. No joy.
Muamba has picked Sax up - he's going for a ride! Muamba dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Muamba throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sax has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Muamba is working away from the top position though. Muamba is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sax has managed to free his arm - good work. Sax is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sax regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Muamba.
That's one minute gone in the round. Muamba thows a big elbow that misses. Sax wants to control the position but Muamba says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Sax won't allow Muamba to pass to mount. Muamba seems to be looking for submissions.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sax tries to get to full guard but Muamba has control of the leg. Sax wants to stand back up but Muamba manages to pass into side control.

Sax tries to improve his position but Muamba has taken his back! Muamba has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Sax tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Muamba pushes Sax away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Retale swats away the attempt to clinch by Korpi. Retale lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Korpi lands with a kick to the temple. Retale shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Tosi Retale has been cut. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Korpi. Retale bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Retale tries to bum rush Korpi with a series of wild strikes but Korpi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Retale thows a left - swing and a miss! Korpi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Retale, pushing him back against the ropes. Retale is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Korpi fails to pull guard.

Retale is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Retale must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Korpi wants to sweep here but Retale controlling him for the moment.

Retale is rocked! Korpi closes the distance looking for a takedown. Retale stuffs it but Korpi still has hold of him. Korpi picks Retale up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Korpi slams Retale to the floor and that's really hurt Retale - he doesn't know where he is! Korpi throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

He's got his arms around Bagamba's waist but Bagamba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mullins off to one side. Bagamba pushes Mullins up against the ropes in a clinch. Bagamba wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Mullins is trying to break the clinch but Bagamba has him pressed against the ropes. Bagamba has had enough of the clinch but Mullins keeps him there for the moment. Bagamba can't get the takedown.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bagamba wants to stand but Mullins is controlling his posture from full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Nappi trying to control from Smith's half guard. Smith has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Nappi won't allow Smith to sweep him here. Nappi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Nappi has Smith in his guard. Nappi is breathing heavily. Smith would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Nappi throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Nappi has control of Smith's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Smith regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nappi. Nappi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Nappi trying to control the position from guard on top but Smith is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
