The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Maurice looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kouzmanoff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Kouzmanoff is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are battling for position here. Maurice manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kouzmanoff trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Maurice manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kouzmanoff is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kouzmanoff is working for a kimura but Maurice is defending it quite comfortably.
Maurice is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Kouzmanoff pulls his head out easily.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanford throws a nice outside leg kick. Salcedo swats away the attempt to clinch by Sanford. Salcedo avoids the head kick by Sanford.
Salcedo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Salcedo could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Sanford tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sanford is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Buford Sanford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanford gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Salcedo counters with a takedown into side control. Salcedo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sanford's legs. Salcedo working the ground and pound. Sanford is trying to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanford dodges the ground and pound from Salcedo. Salcedo throwing shots but missing, from side control. Sanford is looking to reverse the position. Salcedo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sanford tries to buck Salcedo off but Salcedo is having none of it. Salcedo scoring with punches from side control. Salcedo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Sanford wants to control but Salcedo postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salcedo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sanford rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Salcedo's guard! Nice work there by Sanford! Salcedo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Salcedo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sanford gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Salcedo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Salcedo throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Sanford really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salcedo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanford in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sanford preventing the sweep. Salcedo pushes a forearm under Sanford's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Sanford is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Arbenson.
Arbenson throws a jab when James was well out of range. James on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Arbenson. Arbenson obviously looking to wear him down.

James looks gassed! Arbenson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of James's head. Magus Arbenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's one minute gone in the round. Arbenson feints and then cracks James's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow James down. A slapping leg kick lands for Arbenson.
Arbenson misses the shot to the body. James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arbenson's waist but Arbenson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side. Arbenson throws out a loose jab but James uses good head movement to avoid it. James throws a lazy right hand but Arbenson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. James avoids the head kick by Arbenson.
James shoots in but no luck this time. Magus Arbenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryce James. Arbenson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

It looks like Bryce James has been cut. Arbenson feints and then cracks James's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow James down. Arbenson throws a front kick that sends James stumbling back into the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arbenson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. James looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. James is trying desperately to land a takedown but Arbenson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for James. James takes a shot right to the bread basket. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A cross from Arbenson lands. Arbenson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arbenson tries to work over James's front leg with a kick but James checks it. James takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. No joy there for Arbenson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

James is rocked! James misses with a hook. Arbenson lands with a slapping head kick. James is still on wobbly legs! Can Arbenson finish him? A nice inside leg kick there by Arbenson. That's going to slow James down. Arbenson lands a glancing blow to the side of James's head.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Arbenson! James is out on his feet! Arbenson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - James is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! James is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

It looks like Jean claude Sherk has been cut. Sherk shoots in for a double leg but Tsung sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A punch combination from Sherk misses. Excellent takedown into side control there by Tsung. Sherk on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Tsung in side control lands a decent elbow. Sherk is looking to reverse the position. Sherk trying to remain calm as Tsung controls from the top position. Sherk is trying to control Tsung's posture but Tsung avoids it. Sherk is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here.

Tsung works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sherk fails with the takedown and Tsung counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mendez moves out of range of the strikes. Mendez closes the distance and clinches. Christenssen is trying to break free. Mendez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Christenssen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mendez tries for a takedown. No joy.

It looks like Hougar Christenssen has been cut. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Mendez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
