The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Gambino slams his shin into Tupp's torso.
Gambino shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tupp as he jumps to the side.
Gambino tries a head kick but it misses.
Tupp avoids the head kick by Gambino.

Tupp clinches.

Tupp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tupp misses with a wild combination.
Gambino circles away from the clinch attempt.

Tupp pushes Gambino up against the cage in a clinch.
Gambino connects with a knee to the head.
Tupp prevents Gambino from breaking the clinch.
The is referee keeping an eye on Tupp - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Gambino really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gambino gets underhooks to prevent Tupp's takedown attempt.
Gambino wants to break the clinch but can't.
Tupp is working Gambino over against the cage.

Tupp fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gambino, pushing him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tupp takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Gambino wants to get back to striking at distance but Tupp won't allow it.

Tupp throws a jab when Gambino was well out of range.

Tupp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tupp has hold of one of Gambino's legs. Gambino is fighting the takedown attempt but Tupp gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Tupp controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Tupp won't allow Gambino to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tupp is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Gambino has momentary wrist control but Tupp slips an elbow through the middle.
Tupp sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gambino's guard.
Gambino has hold of Tupp's hands but Tupp slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Tupp has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Tupp passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Gambino!
Tupp lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

BOOM! Tupp connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Gambino tries to lock up and control but Tupp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Tupp is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gambino can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tupp lands a big shot there that rocks Gambino but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tupp softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Gambino is out cold! Tupp jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
