The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atreides shoots in and drives through. Steven sprawls well.
Paul Atreides seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steven stuffs the takedown.

Atreides shoots for a double leg takedown but Steven sprawls well. He's pushed Atreides's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A slapping leg kick lands for Steven.
A nice leg kick lands there from Steven.
Steven throws a sloppy head kick and Atreides moves out of range easily.
Atreides shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steven pinned against the cage. Steven gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Atreides has a takedown stuffed.
Steven tries a head kick but it misses.
Atreides changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steven tries to avoid it but Atreides manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steven to the ground. Steven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Atreides tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Steven paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Steven throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Atreides shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steven as he avoids it easily.
Steven misses with a wild body shot.

Steven lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Atreides can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Steven and Atreides drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Steven.

dos Santos lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Sobral crumples to the floor! dos Santos milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
