1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brian Johnson! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has St Croix pinned against the cage. St Croix gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. St Croix knocks Johnson to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Johnson is rocked!
It looks like Brian Johnson has been cut. Johnson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Johnson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. St Croix wants to stand but Johnson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Johnson actively working from the bottom here. Johnson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. St Croix wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving. St Croix controls from within his opponent's guard. St Croix wants to stand but Johnson is controlling his posture from full guard.

St Croix is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. St Croix would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by St Croix, who protects the arm well. Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but St Croix keeps working. Johnson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as St Croix throws out the jab. Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - St Croix sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Johnson shoots in for a double leg but St Croix sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A head kick misses from St Croix. A jab from St Croix misses. St Croix stuffs the takedown attempt from Johnson. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet. Jacques St Croix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Johnson. A head kick from St Croix lands but Johnson takes it in his stride. Nope, St Croix circles away and we're back to standing. Johnson is breathing heavily. St Croix throws a head kick that misses. Jacques St Croix is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there. Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. St Croix lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. St Croix misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson scores with a takedown into St Croix's guard. Johnson wants to control from the top but St Croix keeps moving. Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson stops St Croix from standing up. Johnson passes St Croix's right leg, so he's now in half guard. St Croix is looking to escape. St Croix is controlling Johnson's position as best he can from this difficult position. Johnson tries to pass to full mount but St Croix defends it. St Croix looks like he's trying to stand up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jacques St Croix will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Brian Johnson's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
St Croix connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Johnson to the floor! St Croix dives in looking for the finish! Johnson is still in real trouble! Can St Croix finish him? Johnson wants to get back to full guard but St Croix has passed into side control. St Croix knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johnson on the ground. St Croix controlling from mount. St Croix's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Johnson can't escape the position.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses. St Croix wants to control the pace but Johnson is squirming around nicely.

Johnson regains half guard. St Croix stalling away here and it's allowed Johnson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. St Croix showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. St Croix doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. St Croix manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Johnson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

St Croix has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Johnson to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! St Croix is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Johnson pulls down on the head and he's put St Croix to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dollar checks a leg kick. Dollar tries to close the distance and clinch but Bill swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bill takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bill avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dollar thows a left - swing and a miss! The fight stays on the outside here - Dollar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bill bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Bill misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Dollar defending against the ground and pound. Bill working the ground and pound but Dollar is defending the strikes. Dollar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dollar is letting Bill control him for a moment. Bill thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dollar struggling a bit here. Bill is looking to take a break and control but Dollar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Possibly, maybe, no Bill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Bill is trying to move to mount but Dollar reverses beautifully and ends up in Bill's guard. Bill preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dollar stands up and waves to Bill to follow him. Nice shot by Dollar. Bill looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Dollar throws a nice looking combination but Bill bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A punch lands to the side of Bill 's head but he takes it in his stride. Bill fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dollar, pushing him back against the cage. Dollar with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Bill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. No luck for Bill with that takedown attempt. Bill drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Dollar throws a sloppy head kick and Bill moves out of range easily. Bill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bill shoots in for a double leg but Dollar sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Bill gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bill pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bill drives through with a takedown into guard. Bill preventing the sweep. Bill with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dollar keeping moving, preventing Bill from controlling successfully. Dollar wants to stand up but Bill is controlling him. Bill slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dollar is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bill connects with a decent elbow. You can see the frustration on Dollar's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dollar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bill tries for a kimura but Dollar is defending well. Dollar managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bill.

Dollar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Dollar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Billy Bill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dollar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bill backs up against the cage.
Bill swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bill lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Dollar has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Dollar and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. The fight stays on the outside here - Dollar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dollar circles away. Dollar dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bill. That did some damage! Dollar gets caught flat footed, as Bill shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bill tries to free his leg and advance position but Dollar is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dollar trying to keep a closed guard but Bill is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bill prevents Dollar from standing back up.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Bill wants to pass the guard but Dollar is defending well. Dollar wants to control but Bill is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bill wants to control but Dollar is keeping him busy. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bill's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Dollar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bill is pushing down on Dollar's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dollar is fighting to maintain full guard but Bill has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dollar swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice takedown defense from Dollar. No joy for Bill on that attempt. Bill passes Dollar's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dollar's head. Dollar is looking to escape. Bill scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Dollar won't allow Bill to pass to mount. Dollar is refusing to be controlled, as Bill sits in half guard. Dollar is trying to stand up here but Bill is controlling him well.

Dollar clinches but Bill breaks the clinch and Bill counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bill.

Dollar is fending him off so far but Bill persists. Nope, Dollar circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dollar takes the fight into the clinch. Dollar creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Bill wants a takedown.
Dollar using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Bill has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Dollar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Bill manages to break the clinch.
Bill shoots for a takedown but Dollar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dollar pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Bill fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bill shoots in looking for a takedown. Dollar tries to sprawl out of it but Bill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dollar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bill tries to bum rush Dollar with a series of wild strikes but Dollar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cana Dollar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bill doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Bill shoots for a takedown but Dollar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Bill fails with the takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Billy Bill showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bill, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Reis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Carnacales's calf. Reis dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carnacales. That did some damage! Carnacales's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Reis tries to clinch up but Carnacales circles away and keeps his distance. Carnacales on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Reis. Reis obviously looking to wear him down.

Carnacales smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Carnacales tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Carnacales stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Reis. Reis fails to land with a series of punches.

Voce has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fujitsu is working away from the top position though. Fujitsu controlling the action here. Voce works his way to full guard. Good work. Voce wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Voce working for a triangle but Fujitsu defends it easily.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Fujitsu trying to control but Voce is having none of it. Fujitsu looks gassed! Voce manages to regain half guard. Good work. Fujitsu looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Voce is looking for a sweep. Fujitsu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
