2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Freddy Wilder! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomi is looking to land body kicks. Wilder swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Tomi throws a half hearted mid kick. Wilder closes the distance and clinches up with Tomi, looking for a takedown. Wilder pushes Tomi against the cage but Tomi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tomi clinches. Wilder tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Wilder blocks an elbow strike. Tomi breaks from the clinch.
Wilder shoots in and bounces Tomi off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wilder stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tomi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tomi pulls Wilder in to control the position. Tomi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tomi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Tomi is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Tomi prevents Wilder from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tomi is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wilder won't allow Tomi to pass to mount.

Tomi not landing any meaningful shots this time. Wilder wants to get back to full guard. Tomi tries to pass to full mount but Wilder defends it.

Wilder has a takedown stuffed. Wilder sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A nice inside leg kick there by Tomi. That's going to slow Wilder down. Tomi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Wilder tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Possibly, maybe, no Wilder has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Tomi is looking for a sweep. Wilder thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wilder working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice body kick from Tomi. Wilder changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tomi tries to avoid it but Wilder manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tomi to the ground. Tomi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tomi instigates a clinch. Wilder misses with a shot to the kidneys.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hioki stuffs the takedown. The fight stays on the outside here - Hioki looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hioki throws a head kick but Boom moves out of range.

Boom might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Boom wants to get back to full guard.

Manuel cracks Sing with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Dangle had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. T is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dangle Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take T's back instead. Dangle is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. A lull in the action here.
