Steve Dengel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dengel shoots for a double leg takedown but Henderson sprawls well. He's pushed Dengel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Reynolds tries to bum rush Mullen with a series of wild strikes but Mullen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mullen seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Reynolds shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mullen is backing up but Reynolds catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mullen covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Reynolds Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Takeda seems to be looking for submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Disisto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Birch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Disisto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Birch's back instead.
Disisto is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Birch knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Birch for a finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Simmons's head.
Griffith looks to land a right hand but Simmons moved out of range.
Griffith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Simmons throws a head kick that misses.
Griffith throws a nice looking combination but Simmons bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Simmons cracks Griffith with an open hand slap.
It looks like Forrest Griffith has been cut.
Griffith wants to land a leg kick but Simmons is out of range.
No joy there for Simmons, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Simmons misses with a double jab.
Simmons shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Simmons is rocked!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Griffith shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Griffith thows a body shot but no joy.
Griffith tries a head kick but it misses.
Griffith drops Simmons with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Simmons looks back up at him and smiles so Griffith waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Simmons is still on wobbly legs! Can Griffith finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Griffith knocks Simmons out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
