A combination from Dengel does no damage.
Steve Dengel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dengel shoots for a double leg takedown but Henderson sprawls well. He's pushed Dengel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dengel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Dengel is looking to clinch but Henderson is avoiding it.

Reynolds tries to bum rush Mullen with a series of wild strikes but Mullen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Reynolds attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Reynolds finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Reynolds dips to his left and cracks Mullen with an uppercut!

Mullen seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Reynolds shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mullen is backing up but Reynolds catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mullen covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Reynolds Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Whelan utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Takeda thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Whelan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takeda on the ground.
Takeda is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Takeda seems to be looking for submissions.
Well, if Takeda is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kazuo Takeda just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Whelan lands a jab to Takeda's midsection.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Disisto escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Birch gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Disisto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Birch is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Disisto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Birch's back instead.

Disisto is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Birch knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Birch for a finish.

Disisto has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Birch has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
