Savas has chosen Seven Nation Army as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Tyson Hendrix has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damian Savas! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hendrix misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hendrix. Good work by Savas as he checks the leg kick. Hendrix thows a left - swing and a miss! Hendrix tries to clinch up. Savas circles away from the clinch attempt.
Savas takes a kick to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hendrix shoots in looking for a takedown. Savas tries to sprawl out of it but Hendrix keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Savas manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Hendrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hendrix tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hendrix shoots for a takedown but Savas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Savas closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hendrix to the mat! Hendrix manages to get full guard. Hendrix is trying to hold Savas in close to prevent damage but Savas has managed to pass into half guard.
Savas stands up out of the half guard. Hendrix tries to clinch up but Savas circles away and keeps his distance. Hendrix misses with a few strikes there.

Savas has his foot on Hendrix's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hendrix works his way back into a safe position though. Hendrix wanted to stand there but Savas had control of the position. Hendrix wants to pass the guard but Savas is keeping the position. Savas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Savas pushes Hendrix off and gets back to his feet.

Savas wants to break the clinch but can't.

Hendrix drops back, looking for a kneebar! Savas looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Savas looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Savas! Hendrix can't do much from the bottom here. Savas decides to stand back up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hendrix closes the distance looking to clinch and Savas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Savas turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Savas decides to stand back up. Savas steps back and let's Hendrix get back to his feet. Hendrix doesn't succeed with the takedown and Savas counters with a head kick. Savas throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hendrix. Hendrix looks to throw a body kick and Savas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Savas. Hendrix wants a takedown.

Savas is leaning against Hendrix and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Savas wants to get back to striking at distance but Hendrix won't allow it.
Savas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hendrix throwing strikes from guard but Savas blocks nicely. Savas keeping moving, preventing Hendrix from controlling successfully. Hendrix won't allow Savas to get back to his feet. Hendrix passes Savas's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hendrix frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Savas really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Damian Savas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hendrix is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Savas is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Savas decides to take the fight back to the feet. Savas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Savas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hendrix doesn't succeed with the takedown and Savas counters by clinching up. Hendrix tries to pull guard but Savas holds him up against the cage and eventually Hendrix drops back down to his feet.
Hendrix is fighting off a takedown attempt but Savas is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Hendrix to the mat. Hendrix regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Savas postures up.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hendrix holds on and takes a little breather. Savas gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Savas fails in his attempt to clinch. Hendrix gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Savas counters with a body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Hendrix. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hendrix throws a head kick that misses and Savas counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Hendrix is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Savas moves into the clinch. Hendrix lands a nice elbow. Hendrix goes for a takedown attempt but Savas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Savas tries to clinch up. Hendrix takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Savas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hendrix.
A low kick from Hendrix is predictable there and Savas counters with a single leg into guard. Hendrix didn't expect that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hendrix has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Savas is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hendrix. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Savas has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Hendrix gets back to half guard. It looks like Savas is going to stand back up.

Tyson Hendrix has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Savas has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hendrix to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Savas is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hendrix pulls down on the head and he's put Savas to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Longoria II throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Sebastian Mercy has been cut. Mercy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Longoria II connecting with a few gentle strikes. Longoria II trying to hold on to Mercy's head to control him but Mercy postures up.
Longoria II is refusing to be controlled, as Mercy sits in half guard. Longoria II tries to get to full guard but Mercy has control of the leg. Longoria II has hold of Mercy's hands but Mercy slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Mercy is trying to control the action in half guard but Longoria II is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Mercy blocks the strikes from Longoria II.
Longoria II on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mercy lands a nice short elbow. Longoria II is trying to maintain the position but Mercy is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Longoria II looking for submissions off his back. Longoria II is in trouble now - Mercy has advanced to mount! Mercy lands a heavy elbow. Mercy trying to control but he's not successful this time. Mercy putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Mercy looking to control but Longoria II is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Longoria II's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Mercy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mercy moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Longoria II has worked his arm free - good work by Longoria II!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercy tries to move into full mount but can't pass Longoria II's legs. Mercy looks gassed! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Longoria II is looking to regain half guard here but Mercy keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Longoria II's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mercy in side control lands a decent elbow. Longoria II tries to buck Mercy off but Mercy is having none of it. A bit of a lull in the action here. Longoria II stops Mercy from passing to mount.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Mercy tries for a takedown but Longoria II sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Longoria II looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Mercy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mercy controls Longoria II momentarily but Longoria II frees himself. Mercy being controlled here, momentarily. Mercy looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Longoria II throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mercy's waist but Mercy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Longoria II off to one side. Longoria II throws a nice outside leg kick. Mercy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mercy wants to clinch but Longoria II slips to the side and Longoria II counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mercy won't be happy with that. Longoria II tries to advance to mount but can't. Mercy taking punishment in the form of punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Longoria II thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Mercy is not content to let Longoria II control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Evan Longoria II will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Sebastian Mercy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swiftwater fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Riley sprawls well initially but Swiftwater persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Riley regains full guard. Nicely done. Riley is trying to keep Swiftwater in close.
Riley is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Riley keeping full guard, as Swiftwater tries to pass. Swiftwater is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Riley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Riley has escaped and now he's on top! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Swiftwater is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Riley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. John Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Horrible takedown by Swiftwater or perhaps it was just good defense by Riley which made him look bad. Swiftwater closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bamshoot throws a series of punches but Khan avoids them all with ease. Bamshoot misses with a looping right. Bamshoot misses with a head kick.
Bamshoot jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bamshoot circles away from the clinch attempt.

Khan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Neville Bamshoot is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Bamshoot swinging wilding here.
Khan bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Bamshoot tries a head kick but it misses.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Machida, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A head kick misses from Machida. Machida is looking to land body kicks. Machida throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wallace. Wallace blocks a head kick by Machida.
Machida throws a head kick that misses. Machida lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like William Wallace has been cut. Wallace rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machida moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Machida gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Machida looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Wallace throwing strikes but missing. Wallace pushes down on Machida's leg and manages to get into half guard. Wallace in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Machida tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Wallace!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Astoria catches Rivera right on the button with a cross. Astoria stuffs the takedown. Arturo Rivera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rivera looks for a takedown but Astoria sprawls well. Rivera gets a takedown into half guard. Rivera works his foot free and advances to mount. Astoria has given up his back.
Astoria tries to escape but Rivera has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Astoria just trying to survive but Rivera is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Rivera is looking for the choke from the back position but Astoria is controlling his hands well. Astoria looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Astoria tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Astoria bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Astoria wants to stand but Rivera has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Astoria controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Astoria looking to pass the guard. Rivera has his foot on Astoria's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Astoria works his way back into a safe position though. Rivera looking for a triangle here. Astoria is fighting it but it looks tight! Rivera pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Astoria is tapping out - this one is all over!
