The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson gets a takedown into half guard. Nogueira trying to control but Tyson postures up.

Tyson is looking for a kimura but Nogueira is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tyson to get the leverage. Nogueira knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tyson on the ground. Tyson prevents Nogueira from standing back up.

Tyson is pushing down on Nogueira's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nogueira is fighting to maintain full guard but Tyson has managed to sneak the leg through. Tyson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tyson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Nogueira is looking to regain half guard here but Tyson keeps moving and retains side control. Nogueira throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nogueira takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Nogueira pushes Tyson up against the cage in a clinch. Tyson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nogueira pulls his leg out and moves away.

Mauricio Nogueira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mikko Tyson. Nogueira using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tyson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

He's tossed Nogueira clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Tyson looking for the RNC. Tyson is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Tyson is looking for a choke. Nogueira gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Nogueira manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikko Tyson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Nogueira throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nogueira with a poor takedown and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nogueira won't be happy with that. Tyson looks up at the clock and then as Nogueira takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Tyson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tyson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Tyson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nogueira has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tyson but great work by Nogueira. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nogueira decides to stand back up. Nogueira steps back and let's Tyson get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson feints and as Nogueira raises his hands in defense, Tyson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tyson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Tyson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nogueira knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Nogueira is pushing Tyson's head away, looking to escape. Tyson manages to hold on to the position though. Tyson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nogueira, who protects the arm well. Nogueira regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson is working for a kimura but Nogueira is defending it quite comfortably.
Tyson wants to free his trapped foot but Nogueira is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tyson works his foot free and advances to mount. Tyson cracks Nogueira with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
BOOM! Tyson connects with a massive shot to the dome!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nogueira throwing hammer fists to the chest of Tyson. What's that going to do exactly? Mauricio Nogueira has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nogueira has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Nogueira manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tyson's guard. Nice work there by Nogueira.

Tyson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nogueira is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Tyson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nogueira's back instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Nogueira defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Tyson is looking for the choke from the back position but Nogueira is controlling his hands well. Nogueira defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Tyson's arms. Tyson looking for the RNC. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tyson seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Nogueira's chin but Nogueira turns very nicely into Tyson's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Nogueira.
And that's the end of the fight! Mikko Tyson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Tyson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Assman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Assman off to one side. Assman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson wants to control but Assman postures up. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Johnson regains half guard. Johnson trying to control here.
Assman controlling the pace. Assman is thwarting Johnson's attempts to control the position. Johnson desperately trying to maintain half guard. Assman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Johnson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Johnson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Johnson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnson trying to control the position.
Assman looking to pass the guard. Johnson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Assman postures up.
Assman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Assman trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom. Johnson keeping full guard, as Assman tries to pass. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Assman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. No luck for Assman with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Assman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Assman is breathing heavily. Johnson throws a nice looking combination but Assman bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Assman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Assman is rocked! The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Assman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Oh Assman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Assman drops his hands momentarily. Johnson doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Assman staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Assman doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! maidison moves in looking to clinch but Garcia pushes him off. maidison jabbing away but nothing is landing. Garcia swinging wilding here.
maidison shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fighters circling - maidison throws out the jab but it was never going to land. maidison misses with a series of wild punches.
Garcia throws a series of punches but maidison avoids them all with ease. maidison moves in looking to clinch but Garcia pushes him off. A big left from maidison misses. Garcia fails with the takedown and maidison counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. maidison stands and steps away. Garcia gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Santiago Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garcia doesn't succeed with the takedown and Garcia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Garcia slips under a jab. Garcia tries a head kick but it misses.
Garcia throws a leg kick which misses maidison's front leg but catches the back leg as maidison tries to avoid it. maidison misses with a looping left. maidison slips under a jab. Nice takedown defense from maidison. No joy for Garcia on that attempt. jack maidison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Garcia. Garcia paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. maidison avoids the head kick by Garcia.

Garcia tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but maidison paws at him with a jab and circles away. A combination from maidison does no damage. Garcia swats away the attempt to clinch by maidison. maidison shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Garcia but Garcia pushes him off and we're back to square one. maidison darts in trying to clinch and Garcia counters with a thumping low kick. maidison stuffs the takedown. maidison fails in his attempt to clinch. maidison misses with the combination.
maidison throws a series of strikes that have Garcia backpedaling.
Garcia's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Garcia duly obliges. maidison tries to keep at a distance but Garcia has taken the fight into the clinch. Garcia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
maidison throws a right and a left that both miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from maidison. No joy for Garcia on that attempt. Garcia on the wrong end of a nice jab. Garcia closes the distance and clinches. maidison wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Garcia has him pressed against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Garcia takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. maidison managing to block the knees to the body from Garcia.
Garcia is fighting off a takedown attempt but maidison is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Garcia to the mat. Garcia regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as maidison accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Garcia trying to control the position.

maidison landing strikes from the mount and Garcia is in trouble! maidison content just to control the position here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. maidison lands with some strikes. maidison will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. maidison takes Garcia's back. maidison throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Garcia!

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Benton controlling from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgrady has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Benton is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mcgrady. Benton decides to take the fight back to the feet. Mcgrady on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Mcgrady moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Benton lands with a nice combination. Mcgrady backs away looking to recover. Benton throws a leg kick but Mcgrady sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgrady shoots for a takedown but Benton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Benton moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Jab by Benton. Mcgrady drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mcgrady working away. Mcgrady lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Mcgrady tries to advance to mount but Benton denies him. Benton manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mcgrady's best efforts. Mcgrady is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Benton kicks Mcgrady off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgrady slips a jab from Benton. Benton throws a right and a left that Mcgrady avoids nicely. Mcgrady shoots and misses and Benton counters with a good low kick that Mcgrady was not able to check. Sam Benton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Popeye Mcgrady. Benton throws out a token jab with nothing on it. No luck for Mcgrady with that takedown attempt. Mcgrady has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Mcgrady fails to land the takedown. Benton is looking to slow Mcgrady down with leg kicks. Popeye Mcgrady has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mcgrady has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Mcgrady fails with a takedown attempt. Benton missing with a left hand there. Mcgrady was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Mcgrady moves out of range of the strikes. Mcgrady tries to close the distance and clinch up but Benton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Benton goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Mcgrady misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Benton misses with a series of wild punches.

Mcgrady shoots in for a takedown but Benton shows good takedown defense. Benton scores with a nice head shot. Benton stuffs the takedown attempt from Mcgrady. Mcgrady gets slowly back to his feet. Benton lunges at Mcgrady with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Mcgrady's hand. Mcgrady steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Benton. Mcgrady shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Benton as he jumps to the side. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Donk. Benton catches Mcgrady right on the button with a cross. Benton misses with a few strikes there.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam Benton showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Benton, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
