The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romanelli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Neptune bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Dominic Romanelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Romanelli throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Romanelli drops Neptune with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Neptune looks back up at him and smiles so Romanelli waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Neptune is rocked! The fight moves into the clinch position. Oh Neptune is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Neptune ducks under a wild hook from Romanelli. Romanelli comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Neptune is breathing heavily. Neptune is looking to clinch. Romanelli jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Romanelli lands a couple of elbows. Romanelli thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Neptune wants to control but Romanelli passes easily into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Romanelli closes the distance and clinches up with Neptune, looking for a takedown. Romanelli pushes Neptune against the cage but Neptune circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Neptune lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Neptune wants to clinch. Romanelli lands a lovely overhand right. Romanelli shoots in looking for a takedown. Neptune tries to sprawl out of it but Romanelli keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Neptune manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Romanelli takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Romanelli misses with a looping right. Romanelli throws a jab when Neptune was well out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Neptune had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The fight stays on the outside here - Neptune looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Romanelli fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Neptune manages to avoid it.

Neptune shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Romanelli counters with a lovely straight right hand! Romanelli throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Khan. Harris gets caught flat footed, as Khan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Harris looking to control.

Harris is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Khan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Khan content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Harris has locked up a guillotine! Harris's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Khan is holding on here and Harris must be using up a lot of energy. Khan has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Harris gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Hoffman sprawls well initially but GameMaster persists and gets the takedown into half guard. GameMaster lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hoffman manages to get to full guard.

Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no GameMaster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hoffman is sneaking out the side here. You can see the frustration on Hoffman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

TheMegaMan GameMaster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. GameMaster postures up.

GameMaster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hoffman is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Right on cue, GameMaster cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

GameMaster misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Charles Hoffman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! GameMaster sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
